Has anyone tried or is anyone currently taking Brintellix?
I also posted on the anxiety forum and haven't had any luck.
Thanks!

I was on it for a short while. It didn't really work for me. I didn't have any side effects or anything it just didn't seem to work.

Chris,
Thank you for the reply. How long were you on it for?
I am so nervous to try it!

I have a friend who takes it and it works well for her. But doesn't work for all. I believe it is relatively new.
Hugs, Karen...

I was on it for just a couple of months. I was in a real bad place emotionally when I tried it not sure if anything would have really worked for me at the time. But.. it's worth a try.. I hope it works for you.

Ok so I've been on brintellix for about
5 weeks now. I started at 10mg for this first 4 weeks and now I'm up to 20mg. I've been taking 20mg for the last 5 days or so. When I first started on the medication I would have nausea, slight headaches, restless legs and I would wake up anywhere from 1 to 2 hours b4 my alarm went off with anxiety and couldn't go back to sleep. Since I have started the 20mg the side effects have doubled. More nausea, more headaches, waking up early again with anxiety and alot of belching and gagging like I need to throw up but I don't actually throw anything up just gag. Anyone else experience these symptoms on brintellix?
Also have had blurry vision/foggy head after the initial 3 weeks on the drug.

Fogunited,
I have read about
the nausea. I'm sorry you are having such a tough time with that and the other symptoms you mentioned. I haven't read many good things about
this drug.
Did your Dr tell you to continue it for now, then? Please keep me/us updated, and thank you for your response.
I hope you feel better soon!

So far yes I'm staying on it. I have a message into him to find out of there is anything else i can take in addition to kind of kick the anxiety temporarily while brintellix is getting in my system. Who knows? Maybe xanax or something.

I guess there are a couple of posts on brintellix from different posters, I posted on a few about
my experience with the mediation, but I am not normal

I actually decided to wait to start mine until my kids get out of school on June 11. I am planning on starting it that weekend.

Hi Everyone
I'm on Brintellix too - 10mg 4 weeks with relief and some ups and downs, I'm also grieving for my dad who died in October last year - 15mg for 10 days, very teary with anxiety and nausea with the increase but think its grief that has increased these feelings also, doc seems to agree, just have to give it more time.
How are you going now Fogunited? I'm keen to feel stable but having Grief in the mix makes it difficult right now.
I tried to go up to 20mg on it for 5 days, after 15mg for a week but brought on too much anxiety so doc suggested to go back to 15mg.
