Feel like I have no one. My only connections are my parents (gone for the next wk), and one friend (busy for the next wk).
I pretty much always feel alone, but especially now.
This is when i want to do bad things.
Why do I want to keep going?

Social isolation is no fun, and it's a dangerous trap to find yourself in, as you already know. Instead of feeling bad for yourself, try and feel happy for your parents and your friend, and send them good thoughts on whatever adventures they're out getting into. It's quite common to feel bad when we're focusing on our own lives, but sometimes just shifting the focus to wishing others joy helps us feel our own.
This is your journey, Sunny13, and I hope you find a way keep it interesting.

You are not alone Sunny, I was wondering where you were just the other day, you had not posted in so long.
Sorry to here you are down again.
Use your distraction skill and distress tolerance skills when you feel like this. You know the dark feeling will pass, it always does.
If it is bad call your local crisis center or ER!
Have you tried to find some support groups?
I belong to one for mental health. Most are there for bipolar and anxiety, however there are a few with depression and common backrounds like mine.
The great thing is, that NO MATTER WHAT THE DIAGNOSIS, everyone does feel the same emotions, isolated, alone, lost etc...
It is amazing! So coming to the group makes us all stronger and some of us have even created friendships of sorts.
Keep posting Sunny we are here for you.
Welcome Timmy!
Peace
Trina

Thanks for all the responses. Just been having trouble lately accepting that this is my life, not the life I was SUPPOSED to have. I guess if I want something different I need to get off my couch and make it different. Some things I cannot change, but others, I can.
I appreciate the comments that made me feel like I am not alone. It's so important to feel a connection to others, and sometimes I feel like I am lost in this big world, like a little mouse….that's the picture in my head. Weird, but it describes how i feel. Thanks for being here for me… I appreciate it more than you know.
I got on my computer this morning, feeling lower than low, and found these responses. Made me cry tears of relief, of belonging, of finding a savior in you all.

Hey Sunny,
Sounds like you feel a little better. That is good... I don't think any of us can predict what our lives are going to be like. Therefore we kind of have to take what we are dealt. Not always pleasant... But all we can do is make the most of it. Do the best that we can. It isn't always easy. I hope you have a good day today. Know we all care and that we are here for you.
Hang in there Sunny...
Hugs, Karen...

But the joy is when they return. Right?
Working with kids and young people, I see their hope for the future and big plans. But the truth is that, for the vast majority of people, all the big plans in the world do not happen. Not because the big dreams are undeserved and not because something is wrong with the planner. Things happen, and choices are made. Big plans take hard work. The planners are only human, and they make mistakes.
Learn from the past, but live the present. A decade ago, I had just received my PhD. Five years ago, I was on the faculty of a state university. Today, I am a substitute teacher and grade SATs. It's hard to be content, but it's the only way to move forward.

Sunny,
If we all compared ourselves to this huge word we would feel like the tininest of ants. So that is a actual response to that scenario.
There are 2 articles that I personally found helpful and return to when I struggle with isolation feelings.
I hope you find these helpful:

-being-you/

Hi Sunny:
First, I will pray for you. Second, I find that music helps cheer me up, although, I am going to submit a post about
my current blues. Forgive my hypocrisy. But, music does help me feel better. How about
the following:
Song #1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkQvsGN-RzA
Song #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne_7BRCAbYM
And, perhaps to give you a good laugh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOK4aBYNh3s
Also, I find that praying and reading the Bible helps me with the proper perspective.
Blessings..

You want to keep going on, because you're a strong person. Don't let the big black dog of depression get you down. This crap can't be cured, but you will find a way for it to be tolerable. That's when you will have won the fight with the big black dog.
Hang in there. This is the voice of experience.
