Situation getting out of hand, need advice on abusive ex who has become obsessive

Hi, I am sorry if this post is a little bit all over the place. I havent posted in this section before and was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation to me in regards to ex partners going a bit nuts because you left them.

I broke contact with him 4 months ago because I realised he was being abusive and manipulative. I was unaware of what he was doing to me.
Anyway, after I thought everything was going to be ok, he pops up again and tries everything to get back with me. He has this strange personality he goes very kind,understanding and selfless and then suddenly snaps and pretends nothing is his fault and insults me etc.

Nobody is able to talk to him and get a straight truthful answer as he switches like this all the time.

He attempted suicide(according to him) and my friend called for a welfare check on him due to his death threats on social media. He was then taken to hospital for mental assessments and has to have regular tests for suicidal tendancies.

He is obsessing over me and apparently seeing me in hallucinations and keeps saying Ive cursed him, that i want him dead, and that i was always a horrible person.

Im not really sure what to do as this guy seems never-ending in his pursuit to make my life miserable.

I agree, restraining order. I am sorry you are going through this. It sounds very hard. Especially when you have cared about a person. I hope that he gets the help that he needs. And I hope that he stops obsessing over you.

Thanks guys, felt alone in this, ugh he tried to come round yesterday and violently knocked the door and stayed in the area for hours until my dad told him to go home..

Welcome to the forum. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

In the situation where he is pon ding on your door and won't leave, CALL THE POLICE. He could break a window next time.

I agree, get a restraining order ASAP and stop ALL communication with.

Block him on all your media. If someone let's you know he is being suicidal, TELL THEM, "TAKE HIM TO CRISIS" and hang up or disconnect.

You need very strong boundaries to remain safe.
Put police on speed dial in your phone.

Hi my ex was manipulative and abusive too. He pretty much did the same thing to me. Thankfully I divorced him and we are no longer speaking.
