My physical pain is worse than my emotional pain. I can't wait to get into surgery at least when I'm under anesthesia I won't feel any pain. To me the IV needle the hardest part.

It seems the last surgery that I had they had trouble getting the needle in. my veins kept rolling. Finally they put it in my arm instead of my hand. It was a bummer. My hand hurt for awhile where they tried to put the needle in. I Hope your surgery goes well.

Yes I have veins that rule to and I think the reason it freaks me out of this because I've been poked too many times. The last time they used an ultrasound to find my vein I guess that's the new thing. Of course I had to go through all the experts that think they can find my vein before they would do that.

Be there something wrong with my cat or she's pissed off at me cuz I kept her up all night. When I went to pet her she hissed at me and then turned around she turned her back on me. Not sure what's up with that

Chris,

You can ask the nurse if she/he has experience with 'rolling veins'. If they can't get it the first time, don't let them dig for it. Stop them, and demand someone experienced, you have that right!!!!

I learned the hard way, being nice I let a nurse dig around and finally after 3 tries get and IV in my arm, less than a min later, my vein collasped.. turned out it had 3 holes in it. Not pretty and scarey!

I wish you the a smooth peaceful experience with this surgery.
