Makes perfect sense, thanks so much for posting that.
A smile, an hello with eye contact. A small conversation standing in line on an upbeat subject. It can change persons out look.
Kindness is out strong weapon against the darkness.
Peace to all my beloved HW family

I've still heard zilch about
extras work for
Avengers: Infinity War
. The agencies don't even tell you what the film is when they do contact people. It's a weird policy. Edinburgh will look like a war zone soon.

Thought for those who have lost someone that way. I have not, that I know of. I remember in grad school, a close friend did. She and I were working closely together in a play, when she lost a family member. She used to show up at my door in the evenings, to try to work through her emotions. My father had died 4 days before the show
opened--by stroke, and so we grieved together.
And, yes, there is always another option. A call to a hotline or a doctor.
Doing garden planning. Worried about
some things. This, too, shall pass.

Just checking in. Winter is my worst season. My indoor garden is helping more than I could have hoped it would. Seeing things grow, watching the buds
open to lovely scented blossoms...so good for my soul. My standard hyacinths are now joining their cousins, the grape hyacinths, in bloom. The tulip foliage continues to develop. My hope is that before these are all done inside, the bulbs outside will be starting their bloom period. I spotted daffodil foliage coming up in the main bed! My summer Star of Bethlehem crocus foliage is also up! New growth on the tall sedums, looking like little cabbages, promising me the season will change!
Daughter and I are learning the 'hard way' just how careful she must be with her stress which can put her in a life threatening medical condition.
Over the course of a month my truck has been in the shop several times. The saga ends with me having all new brake lines and new rear caliper, new brake pads and rotors on the back as well.
My pain levels are peaking again. The weather has been dreadful and my stress from it is at a breaking point. I've not been sleeping well, mostly because of menopause.
I will NOT give in. I will NOT give up.

Never giving up. *grin*
Off to Southern States to buy seeds and seed starter. I found a good community garden that has a high fence already enclosing it. This is good, because then I won't have to be so focused on building a fence that is simple enough for a woman with fibro to put up and effective enough to keep animals out. Instead--I can put my energy in soil and trellises. One issue is that I shall have to redesign my layout, since I used the fence as a trellis.
Trying to relax. Not really doing a good job of it.

It is always fun to think about
gardening. I want to expand my herb garden so that the bees will have something. I was reading about
the different herbs that help. I have a few of them. But not all.
The sun decided to stay out. I am glad. Makes for a much better day.
Hugs to all...

Since it was cold this morning, my almost-17-yr-old cat was sleeping upstairs in her heated bed. But, it got up to 72 this afternoon, so I carried her, protesting, outside, where she curled up in a sunbeam. All was going well, till 2 large squirrels decided to chase her out of her own garden!! Nasty rats with tails!
In other news, the tulips are starting to come up - looking forward to the color!

Bro just called. Our elderly Aunt passed away. He was called by her town's council on aging, and we have few details. She was 93--fought for the Navy in World War II, and got a doctorate using veteran's education assistance. Never married, no children, highly opinionated, she loved dogs, her garden, and children. She was an early member of AA, and had been sober for at least the past 60 years.

Myself, I am so sorry for your loss. Sounds like a lot of history there. Interesting stories I imagine. I hope that things get easier.
Congratulations on the sobriety. That is awesome.

I realized today, while supporting a fellow group member;
that the most precious thing learned from our lost friend, is how to take dark and negative, turn it into light and positiveness.
All people come into our lives to teach us something, a lesson, wether we like the subject or not.
Stay
open to learning.
Peace

Finally got my rear in gear and went to Motor Vehicles and renewed my license today. While getting out of my truck, I glanced at the inspection sticker and realized that, too, was expiring. Lucky me...it passed!
My white hyacinths have joined the others in bloom, adding their wonderful fragrance to my living room. The tulips continue to develop.
Outside, the crocus are starting to come up and the daffodils continue to emerge.
This weekend is supposed to be in the 60's! I'm excited!

Wow Pitmom, That is awesome... I love hearing about
your flowers.
Though I am still under a couple of feet of snow, the sun is shining and it is in the 50's, though it will be going down in a couple of hours. The days are getting longer though.
I managed to get an orchid to rebloom and another one real close. The one blooming now is white and the other one will be pink. I like them because they seem to stay in bloom for a long time.
Have a good day Pitmom...

Garden report...The yellow crocus outside my front door are blooming! It is always such a thrill to see them suddenly appear. They are a good reminder to me to turn my face to the sun and enjoy the warmth.
The weekend was so warm here, unusual for February. I was able to get the cold weather decorations stowed away in an unused corner of the yard and cover them all with a camoflage patterned tarp. The patio chairs are now back around the table and I have the fabric to start making the slip covers for the cushions.
With how expensive cushions can be, I buy outdoor fabric tablecloths, as large as I can find and make slip covers for the cushions. The fabric is treated to 'bead up' spills which makes it perfect for being left out in all types of weather. I use the 'envelope' technique for the seat cushions and add on ties. For the backs, I use the simple 'pillow case' technique and just slide them on, leaving a slit to go past the arms. I get two chairs worth of covers out of one oblong table cloth that cost about
$14. You can't beat the price! The best part is, no one else has the fabric pattern I have!

Hello back pack-o-dermy!
I must learn to spell the sound an elephant makes. DON'T tell me, want to learn this one on my own.
Pitmom,.your sit covers sound very interesting.
A friend if my mother-in-law would float to heaven if she had covers for outside furniture.
From old school south Philadelphia, thick clear plastic on the furniture in the house!. Gets that changed every 10yrs so it always looks new.
Yes, plenty of places still do plastic covers. E G A D S
But, I ramble. Pitmom, would it be possible to send me a picture? I don't care if it is from another year.
Peace all

Spent the weekend with Mom--and have been busy working so far this week. Since I am doing three different things (and soon to be four,) I need a big daily calendar to keep track of when I am doing what. Luckily, where is always clear. I also need to set up a clock set to Beijing time.
It has been really warm for the past week or so. On late Sunday afternoon,we went for a bike ride. I was enjoying myself so much I almost crashed into a parked car. Almost. For all you all Northerners, we have had NO SNOW this winter.
When I am stressed out, I bite my lip or tongue. I have tiny scars on my tongue and the inside of my mouth. My lower lip is healing right now, due to salt water treatments.

got an appt with the shrink wednesday. will be asking about
some either outpatient outreach program and respite. not much hope in the respite. mum back in hospital, kidney infection. sis has arranged for aged care assessment in her actual home. dr's have indicated safety issues for both the son and mother in not being able to support one another. mum fell twice in one day on being back, and my sis found mum on the floor in the wee hours. now we await for red the tape.......everything else is in motion. am tired, meds not working, even forgot all of my meds today. been for a walk, tgook my bins oout and cleaned my lounge table. this was a big effort.
