There is a routine in my excercise class.
The intent is to lower blood/oxygen and heart rate levels.
And of course - to relax!
It starts by us sitting down and closing our eyes. Then to breathe right - in thru the nose for a count of 3 - then out thru the purced lips (like blowing out a candle) for a countof 6.
Starting at the top of our head, we create - then release - pressure. And this goes down all the body parts until the feet with pushing them into the floor - then releasing the pressure.
It's used for cardiac and pulmonary patients. I works for everyone!
