going through divorce

going through a divorce,i hurt so much,tried suicide once,but constantly think about,my wife of 30 years filed for divorce,mostly because of me ,controlling and mentallt abusive,thats how I grew up I did not know any better,just tried to keep her around me all the time for emotional support,spent 5 days in psyvh unit,seeing a therapist,psycholgist,and psychiatrist,,and I am on Prozac,but nothing helps,im in so much pain,and gloom,there is no way out,please help me is there any hope!!!!!

Your recent self harming actions, speak to much more things in side you that need healing. I would guess they are from when you were a child. Many of us crash and burn around mid-life and say what happened?

I am 56, been dealing with 15 years of child abuse for 6 years now.

We can not talk about suicide or self harm in detail on the forum.

I do want you to know though, I can empathize greatly with the dark thoughts, feeling of worthlessness; numbness; emptiness you can not put into words. The co-dependency you feel, always needing someone close, so you are someone.

It takes time, a therapist, and trial and error on anti-depressants.

In the out patient programs talk, nothing you share is dumb or worthless. You will amazed how many people feel the same as you do at times. Dealing with the same emotions and negative thought loops. What they do about them.

The therapist will teach coping skills to help you challenge and fight against the old negative thoughts. Fight the darkness and emotional imbalance. There are dozens, you find what works for you and make them part of your life. With in 4-6 mos. with hard work you can see a difference.

You deserve to get well, most important thing first. Then life will get better. I Promise. This process is like road rash in a motorcycle crash. Pain first, then more pain, when the grit is removed, aching during the healing.

At a difficult time like this, is when it's the most difficult to be positive.

Not positive that you have the problem, but positive that you can solve the next problem.

Are you going to any type of therapy? You need some support right now. I know it is hard, but you will get through all this and be happy again. Hang in there, never give up.

I just started therapy,but all I di is cry,i have so manythoughts in my head,sometimes I'm mad,sometimes I cant get out of bed ,sleept 14 hours last night,missed work,exausted,i cant stop shaking,when will this end!!!!!!!!

only thing keeping me going is my dogs,now I'm on disability because,i tried to work today only lasted 1 hour and a half,could barely breath,and was so dizzy I almost fainted several times ,so much pain and loneliness,how long before I get better,or wont I!!

is it normal to be so fatigues I can hardly stand for more than f minutes,exausted
