bugger about the bladder.
mum has regressed. nurse called me and sis, and i spoke with mum. she said she killed her son with the house and he got hepatitis and that he is dead and other demented ramblings. i calmed her down. sis is trying to get her back on meds which some negligent doc took her off.
bar this i am okay. sleep has been hard as my sugars are playing up. still on the desven wean and the head type shudders. slow and steady........the turtles's good ol' mantra pops up. keep well my friends.

Third day of a heat wave here. Have to shut the computer down completely.

Sad news...we had to put Sensei to sleep on Saturday. He is now permanently in my garden. I hope to find a 'cat themed' plant for his memory. Leopards' bane or another cat mint perhaps.

On to happier topics...the double peach oriental lilies are blooming like crazy. The 'roadside' tiger lilies are starting to bloom, too. I've planted a bunch of herbs after reading that they are natural insect repellents for mosquitos, fleas and ticks! Basil, lavender, rosemary. I'll take as much natural help as I can get...I hate using pesticides! My little 'army' of praying mantis is doing well, thank goodness.

The lilac looks to have powdery mildew. about half of the branches have curling leaves! My daughter and I have traded parking spaces. Her car is smaller and gone more often than my pickup truck.

The mimosa trees are not doing very well this year. I'm hoping I don't lose any of them but am most concerned about the large one in the yard. Should the smaller ones on the 'outside' die, there are plenty of sumac trees starting to fill in.

Lisa bought me a new air conditioner for my bedroom and my friends' son helped me get the old one out and the new one in. Just in time, too!

Dawn, I've heard that asparagus is really, really good for bladder issues. Puree'd with a little water, taken by the tablespoonful or added to a smoothy. Try google for more info.

Karen we must be sharing the same weather. Tomorrow, early am we will go from 90's down to 78. MEGA pain expected, will not be going to group I am sure.

GP agrees no T3 for pain. Now what am I suppose to do for triple dose of pain? Neurologist comes up with meditation mindfulness etc. Heck that is what I use to deal with my 3-5 daily operational level!

Guess I will have to ask again via patient portal.

Another hot day I guess. Storms suppose to be today and tomorrow. We have gotten our share of rain, though with this sandy soil we need it. Beautiful out this morning. Getting ready to take a walk. My gladiolas are popping up. Now for the beans.

I would love to get another Butterfly bush. Alas, not enough sun, trees are so big in the woods surrounding the cul de sac. Even our TV dish will be iffy in the next your or two, unless one particular tree is taken out by lightening or a wind storm. Both are extremely possible.

HT, I use to do acupuncture for my head pain. Worked too! Co-pay was 100.00 a week. It would be 150.00 now. Can not afford the 400.00 a month plus therapy at 75.00 per week. Plus it is like Chiropractic, you have to keep going forever to remain pain free.

I adore the suggestion of water exercise. Swimming is so comforting, water is naturalizing soothing for us. Know why? Because we are 'made' or 'created' in water. True!

However, some people like me learn TO MUCH and become germaphobic about some things and do not like public pools. Just me.

Doc raising baclofen from 30mg to 45mg slowly over next 14 days. I had cluster/face/and trigemenial pain all at once for 2 days, finally last night I took one of my last Tylenol 3. It took the pain down as usual. However, I now know why it is not a good idea to mix T3 with baclofen.
It felt as if I had smoked at least 3 joints in rapid succession. Along with 2 Kama Kasi shots!

Food shopping this morning. Food store had beautiful hanging baskets of purple violets and little yellow flowers, with vincaminor. ONLY. $15 ea. I bought 2 for the front yard, we have them on the fence on the side of the house. Gosh they look nice and I didn't have to dig in the compost and miss with the flower planting.

Flats are almost $20 around here this year, even produce junction, and they have little selection.
So with my pain level, it was worth the extra money as I do not like to plant annuals.

I am working in the back yard, 15min early in the am, before the pain ramps up. On the right side of the patio, the dogs had taken to pee right there! The smell was awful even hosing it down. So I have dug it out, and am putting down bricks, as we have plenty of them out behind the shed from the pervious owners.

Ground hogs and snakes will have to find another home. Darn.

nocturia back. i feel it is my brain attacking my body as a reactionary measure to the psych med withdrawal. i am more internally emotive, could be a break-through aspect of dealing with my trauma. well, the parts that my brain, mind and i have not fully processed. expletive this. will email shrink.

I don't know how many smokers we have here (did you quit yet, Karen?) but maybe someone can relate to me.

As a Canadian cigar smoker, I have two seasons: smoking and non-smoking. Smoking season is typically June to September, and I always look forward to that first smoke of the season. Yesterday I pulled an old H Upman robusto out of the humidor and fired up. Then I mowed the lawn, moved some dirt around, and sat down to enjoy the remaining half.

It's the little things that make me happy.

No F27, I have not quit. Tried Chantix again just recently. The nausea got real bad so I stopped.

I still want to quit, but don't have the mindset.

Hi all,

Sorry for the quite from me. Went to doc and no infection it is my PBS, painful bladder syndrome. Everything came back normal so I am on a new med for that. Second night on it, can't tell a difference yet.

The heat has kicked up super high for the past 4 days and has not cooled down til after 3am. So my sleep has been horrible lately. We only have a swamp cooler for anything over 100* and it is useless.

Mom and dad are asleep in the front room tonight due to the heat. A friend found out today that she is gonna have another baby, ugh! I am happy but she shouldn't be having more kids either, I only support her though.

I have had major tension headaches for 3 months now and the heat only makes it worse.

Sister was in a car accident, she is fine, but her car, which is brand new is not okay. 6 to 12k to fix it, that's if the frame isn't bent. I also went up on my Celexa this is night 2 on that. I am on 50 now not 40mg! Anxiety is up a bit but nothing I can't handle.

I think that is about all for me for now.

Healing thoughts and hope sent to all. I am glad that your gardens are blooming and HT I am glad that you are going to face your inner demons, that will help everything so very much. More another time.

Had another heat wave and had the computer shut down.

Garden is coming along (which is why we're probably not hearing from myself). I started some seeds and quite a few have germinated. Transplanted them into bigger pots today. Not sure what's what but it's fun! Got another seed starter tray and some pansy seeds to start for fall. Tons of 'experiments' in the works this year!

Hello Domino. Needing a purpose and objective to work towards...yes, I can relate to that. Most likely why I garden. After a series of work related injuries and subsequent surgeries (9 of them), I was 'declared' disabled as of 2006. It took 3 years for the decision from Workers Compensation and SSD. I was put back on anti depressants and started therapy with a counselor that I credit with restoring me to sanity. He helped me wrap my brain around 'early retirement'. It wasn't 'just a job' that I lost. Working gave me more than 'just a paycheck'. It gave me a purpose, a schedule, interaction with others, a sense of pride, etc.

The garden helps me in a number of ways. It gives me a schedule, goals to be accomplished, seeing the 'fruits of my labors'...it also gets me outside, gets me exercise, starts conversations, brings compliments and a chance to 'teach' others just getting started.

I live in the northeast which means we get snow, ice and freezing temperatures. The winter is challenging for me. Along with living in a tiny space, which I share with my daughter, grandson, 2 pitbulls and 7 cats, the short cold days and long dark nights present a daunting obstacle each year. I've started 'forcing' bulbs indoors and feeding the winter birds.

I'm glad to hear that you and your partner have talked things out. Having a supportive person in our lives makes the battle easier. You say you have a 'tiny body'...I hope it's not so tiny that you can't give blood. I weigh 94lbs...too 'tiny' to be a blood donor. I don't know if it will help your present medical difficulties but it will probably make you feel very good about yourself. You might want to check with your local hospital directly as some of the organizations known for blood donations charge hospitals for the blood they collect. Giving directly would keep those costs down for the facility.
