Hi everyone,
I've been on Doxepin for probably 6 or 7 years. And for several years, I've been wanting to get off Doxepin. I was on both Doxepin and Cipralex for severe insomnia caused by depression (the reason why I got depressed has disappeared). I was originally on 10 mg, then 30 mg, then now, I'm at 70 mg a night. In 2014, I was able to get off Cipralex on my own. But I was always worried about tapering off Doxepin. I wasn't sure how to do it or how hard it might be. Some nights I feel as if I don't need to take it. I get tired on my own, but I don't want to go cold turkey. However, I'm constantly battling cravings since I went up to 70 mg. And I've gained a lot of weight over the last few years.
I was looking into liquid Doxepin so I can taper off the med. Does anyone have any experience in liquid form? Is it easier to get down to a lower dose?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
