The fuel pump has been installed...and the van is starting perfectly. What a relief.

The printer is more elaborate than you can imagine It prints in color and will replace our need to silk screen each variation. A new machine costs almost one hundred thousand dollars.... Yes, you read that right.

This used model will allow Matt to produce more product at a faster rate and will permit a lower retail cost.
It's the only way we can continue. It will probably take a year to learn how to function.

We've changed a lot in the forty years we've been in business... from hand painted, to stencils to silk screen and now (hopefully) the printer. Keep your fingers X'd

Wow!!! That is awesome, I hope you are able to get it home. I am real happy for you!

Just had supper. I made a pork roast in the oven. It turned out good. I am stuffed though from eating. I want to take a nap again. Ha! I don't though. If it were summer, I would go for a walk.

I'm jealous as all get out about the meals you serve. Sounds so delicious. Ever since John died I've cut back on my cooking. Today I just got store bought fried chicken . It will last me a few days. Did make some stove top stuffing

Hi all. It's been a few weeks but I've been travelling for work a fair bit.

A bit of cooking weekend here too. We try to keep homemade prepared foods ready in the fridge ad freezer. Healthier and less $$$!

I'm steaming some pastrami I smoked last summer, cooking up some chicken for chicken salad and some more to make chicken soup with. Then some tangerine beef and something yet undecided with ground bison tomorrow.

My switch to Pristiq has been going very well. No side effects and feeling better. It's been a week so far.

Also on new cholesterol pills and something going on with the kidneys.

Days are getting longer and that is always good.

Thanks for posting. Sounds like you are going to have some good food today. And for the future too.

I too am glad that the days are getting longer. Makes a huge difference in how we feel.

I believe the groaner... Took a computer in to get fixed and it ended up not working at all. Finally found someone honest to fix it.

Snowing here again. The blue jays are stealing the suet. They are such pigs. I put that out for the various wood peckers. Love the birds...

Some snow here...some rain....and cold, of course.

Yes, I enjoy the birds, too. A whole pile of blue jays here as well. They are 'bossy', but the wood peckers and doves still maintain dominance.

Oh that is cute Joyce. I am glad it isn't 2 below right now. It is probably in the 20's. Kind of gusty winds though which makes it seem colder. I see the wood peckers have come in to the suet. The other day I had one of the great big ones. I know he would of been too big to get on the suet cages. I didn't know he was out there and I opened the front door to let Jasmine in and I scared him away. Man was he huge. I wish I would of looked out the window before I opened the door. Oh well...

Yes the blue jays are bossy and fussy. Right now I got a lot of ground feeders, but I can't see what they are. I do so enjoy watching them.

Joyce, thanks for posting the smilers, groaners, etc. I like to look for them early in the morning...start my day with a grin!

I've not fed the birds as much this year but I did leave more 'standing' in the garden for them. Nearly all of the cone flower seeds are now gone. They don't seem to have found the mullien (sp?) yet. I have another bell to hang and a few suet cakes yet. Maybe I'll get them out there today, now that it has stopped raining.

Important meeting this morning...about the thing I can't go into detail about...not sure how it will turn out.

Very cold here but the garden assures me Spring is on its way. The 'Star of Bethlehem' foliage is coming up and I think I've seen some crocus greenery too! Must remember to look for any sign of the snow drops I planted last fall! I'm determined to get a hellebore this year.

Lisa asked me if I'm thinking of planting any veggies this year. Considering how so many tomatoes were ruined by some creature, I doubt I'll do that type again. The cherry tomatoes still do well and everyone seems to enjoy them, so perhaps I'll do some of those again. Cucumbers have not done well here the past few years and I wonder if I will bother try again. Same with the sugar snap peas. We'll see.

Almost time to bring the canna rhizomes out of storage and get them started for summer. I hope the elephant ear bulb that I put away is still good too! I'm 'itching to get my hands dirty'!

All your talk about greenery is giving me hope Pitmom. Though we still got a foot of snow on top of everything. You never know, maybe soon. I hope...

I will have tomatoes but I don't know about the beans. I don't have a sunny enough spot for them I don't think...

After the Eagles win last night, I read that police in downtown Philadelphia put Bio-Bottle Jack hydraulic fluid on the lightpoles, as the crisco they utilized during the championship game was woefully inadequate. So was the hydraulic fluid, sadly. My favorite moment had to be from the fast food restaurant Hardees, which tweeted, "Hardees will be glad to sell you your morning biscuits, so long as we do not get burned down tonight." Way to go Phillie--stay classy.

I am so tired. Need to pay for my garden plot today--6 weeks until I can get access to it!

Howdy all, hope everyone had a fun weekend.

After my brother and his family left on Saturday, Mrs. F27 and I decided to nest for the rest of the weekend. We had a couple of significant snow dumps, so our nesting was interspersed with snow removal, but the snowblower and its operator (me) kept up just fine. Aside from a Sunday sojourn for Pho and smoothies, it was a stay in pyjamas kinda couple of days.

We didn't watch the Superbowl. Which isn't all that uncommon, cuz we never watch the Superbowl. You Americans have way too many downs. ;-)

We did, however, binge a series on Netflix called "Chewing Gum". It was bawdy, uncomfortable in a few places, and hilariously funny. I haven't LOLed like that in a long time. The protagonist's tortured poet boyfriend came up with some truly cringe-worthy couplets.

Didn't see any foxes this weekend, although I did see a moose and a beaver. They weren't real critters though, they were chew toys at a pet store. #foxwatch2018

Mrs. F27 is heading out today to renew her car registration and pay for my speeding ticket. You know it's true love when ...

Myself, I bet it is nice thinking about the garden plot. When do you start working in it? May? April? Not much gets done here until May (depending on the temps) and June. I sure can't wait for May and JUne to get here. Thinking about it always makes me feel better. Gardening that is and spring time.

Eagles won a hard fought game.

Poles were greased in South jersey too, I am 15 min from Walt Whitman bridge.

Fire works went off in the neighborhood for 10 minutes, drove the dogs nuts.

Thursday is the parade, public schools are closed like it is a national holiday.
More people with green hair.

If Orsen Wells was here now, and radio was the media, and he was doing that broadcast? A lot more than water towers be be shot!

Superbowl. What do I know about it? It's football, and in 1983 the Washington Redskins won.

That year I was doing a temporary assignment in Gaithersburg, MD, outside of DC. There was about 2 feet of snow on the ground, but on a Sunday afternoon I ventured out to see a new movie, “Sophie’s Choice’. I noticed the entire audience was female, but figured it was just the topic that had influenced the attendance. On my way home, there were what seemed like hundreds of people driving around, crunching thru the snow, waving banners, shirtless with “Redskins” written in red on their chests…

It was a very strange sight to someone who never really had football, or the SuperBowl, or the RedSkins on their radar. So there you have it.

PS. OMG, that was 35, yes, thirty-five, years ago!!!

Gaithersburg has SERIOUSLY changed since then. Sadly, so too have the Skins.

Most of my college buddies live in the Philley area. So--I have been hearing a LOT of Eagles convo today.

My plot opens in the middle of March--I go out then to dig, do testing, and lay down my walkways. I lay newspaper and then burlap over it to create walkways. At the end of March I can start a bunch of Spring stuff. Our last freeze date is the middle of April.

A snowblower... here, they just use leaf blowers;)

Mrs. F27 made me watch Sopie's Choice. I did not cry. That wasn't me. I had dust in my eye and had been peeling onions all day. And I just got out of the pool.
