lol. My physical age isn't a secret... my mental age should already be evident to everyone here. My emotional age changes all the time!

My 91 year old father still restores antique motorcycles like he's been doing since he was a teenager, and rides motorcycles thru the woods. His friends are in their 60's. I'm just like him! (Except for days when Lupus and/or depression attack!)

I have done nothing in my garden yet. I'd planned to change out the rotting, falling down wood arbor for an iron one this winter, but haven't done it yet. It's covered with a huge yellow Banks Rose - I need to move on that before it starts setting blooms.

I did plant a hundred multi-pack of tulips in November - the pack was all mixes of red/yellow, and included early, mid-, and late-blooming bulbs. I have about 4 inches of foliage showing on these already!!

In other news, this is the coldest winter we've had in years -- but I didn't know that's what the weather gods had decided, so I decided it was the year to leave my sedums outside all winter. Usually they take over the dining room, and I was tired of that. So I think mostly the sedums have frozen and turned to mush! Oh, well....

I paid my garden rental fee, so now we are just down to waiting. In a week, I am set to start some pepper seedlings. Before I left in the fall, I spread some cover crops, so lets hope they will be plowed under.

I so clearly need something to take care of--this is the longest time without a pet in my adult life.

Actually, it is kinda funny--I love corgis, very charismatic and individualistic dogs. We cannot have animals in our apartment, so bf got me a very realistic-looking stuffed corgi for Christmas. He is very good-looking, and his name is Morgan.

The weather does not help, Pitmom. Wet and cold=more pain. Sleep well and make it through the night.

F27--tails do NOT bend well, and the designers still haven't figured out how to camouflage them. They are working on it. The fox thanks you for not blowing his cover and alerting the hounds.

Sick--got the flu badly yesterday. Making soup in the instant pot with cranberry beans I stopped at the store last week, and this store has a great discount section. They had just cleaned out the pricey beans and rice section--so I picked up a bunch of various things for a few bucks. Black rice and imported jasmine rice. I like to try new things.

I am soooo frustrated for my daughter!

She was experiencing a great deal of pain after they put her on hydrocortisone...joint swelling mostly...and decided she needs a workup for R.A. but still haven't called to tell her when her appointment will be at the clinic. She had to switch back to dexamethasone while she waits. This will mean another delay in regaining pituitary function. They won't write a script for pain medication.

Now, they are refusing to refill her Ambien, which is the only thing that has been helping her get sleep!

Her next pcp appointment isn't until April!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I'm freaking out a little.

My sister in law just called. My brother is in the hospital, needing a heart catheterization done so they can know if he will withstand a bypass surgery to hopefully save his leg.

It's just a little too close to the scenario with our Mom...having to have a test that should show if she was strong enough to withstand her AAA repair. Her test came back on the positive side, she had the surgery, only to have a problem they hadn't anticipated...she died 2 days later.

I'm just soooo uneasy about this similarity. Prayers and healing thoughts are welcomed!

PM, sending many healing thoughts & prayers your way. I had a heart cath done in my 40's & did fine thank goodness. It also sounds like they are checking for some blockage, this is typically the reason for the cath. Hopefully this will all go well for him.

Like you I lost my dad & only brother to heart problems.

I am unreasonably excited over the stupidest things sometimes. I got a package from China with these cunning little plastic connectors to join bamboo poles together to make an A-frame trellis. I got enough to make 5 trellises. They are SO cool. 35 days. Woohoo!!

Sometimes the weirdest stuff gets stuck in my head. The bologna song is way better than my default earworm, which for some unfathomable reason is Meatloaf's "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad". Why couldn't I get a Beach Boys tune stuck in there? I could do non-stop California style harmonies.

There may have been foxes outside today, but I couldn't see them because of a raging snowstorm. #foxwatch2018

I love hot dogs! NCOT and I were chatting about this place the other day, and we both chose our favourite from the online menu. I won't tell you what she chose, but suffice to say it was gross. She should be forgiven though, because British.

Hey everyone. It's been a long time since I checked in here so I know things aren't going great. My body is going haywire, digestive system a mess and anxiety through the roof. Not really sleeping a lot.

Started Venlafaxine today. Hoping it can give me my life back. I had been doing not bad too, still had lots of problems though so I'm still not sure if coming off the Nortriptyline was the best move or not. I couldn't get up to a proper dose on it. I think coming off it has lead to this latest flare up. We'll see. Hopefully things will improve.
