Has anybody done the GeneSight Test?

Its so tempting to chuck all of my meds out of the window. Then the dark depressive days come and I run back to them.

BTW, like you, I suffer with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. My Blood Glucose remains at the highest number without going into the "high" zone. I hate to think that our psychotropic meds put us at risk for such miserable diseases.

KellyinCali, I did a forum search in the archives about this test. I found one post that a member did the testing. The problem was this member never commented any further if a medication was found that helped. I know with other medical conditions there are some that test to see what medication will work the best for them. If you can swing the cost it may be worth doing the test.

I don't work either Kelly. I am lucky. The fibro is really acting up with the cold weather, it was -19 here this morning. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….

I am in Michigan. Northern lower. We are in for cold temperatures all week. I have a migraine today too. I didn't throw up yet though. I think mine is caused from sinus. Not sure. It is getting less, but still hurts.

I take Pristiq for depression along with Abilify and Xanax. I take Xanax as needed. Not everyday. But I take the abilify and the Pristiq daily. I don't blame you for not wanting to take the ziprasidone, but don't you think some type of medication is needed? I hope that the cbd oil helps. I smoke marijuana and it helps with my depression, but I still need the medications. Truth is I take all kinds of medications for things other than the depression and it gets tiresome. Filling my pill boxes on Saturdays takes forever. I have found SSRI's help me a lot and I haven't gained a lot. But did lose 30 lbs when I went off of sugar because of diabetes. I am real happy for that.

Kelly, I hope you find what works for you. I hope that the cbd oil helps. I mix oil with some coconut oil and keep it in the refrigerator and use it for a topical salve for pain. It helps a lot especially with headaches and muscle aches. I wouldn't be surprised if it helped many things.

Keep us posted and good luck with the elliptical machine. I wish I had something here. For two months it was too cold to go out and with snow it is hard to walk. I find walking helps me a lot. My husband did some snow blowing so I have little paths that I can walk on.
