I am posting this FYI explanation and copy of Forum rule no. 6.
It will make me feel better, perhaps a few people will understand.

The reason for no politics and/ Or religion is because these are the 2 hottest topics in any group of people.

In addition to this reason both of these can be Triggers for PTSD trauma etc... For example when a child is abused by a parent Or when a child is raised in a cult.
Religion is used as a control It is not something that is comforting to these people and just the key words That bring comfort to a lot of people can trigger.

So please consider This Before commenting these phrases.

When I would type peace at the end of my responses I meant peace in contentment universal , In nature.
And I realized that other people would not understand that because they're not mine readers
So I have stopped using that at the end of my posts

Thanks, Trina -- makes sense, though it's unfortunate.

I know people for whom religion evokes only bad memories they can't stand, though I also know others who claim to have been "saved" by it.

Even something like a family picture or comments about kids can be a "trigger" (I don't really like that word, but that's the concept). That is, I know some who've longed for family life and tried to start a family, but were denied for various reasons and are now facing end of life. In other words, you never know what's going on inside someone's mind and what damage they might be suffering, so you've got to be careful with words.

Thank you for point view I can empathize.

On social media they seem to the most flammable! HW is a safe place to say things can't say else where about you and your health issue.
To know R and P will no be there could comfort many many people

Can't take them all away. Sometimes, just getting coffee

Hi Trina -- yes, R&P can easily create division, though I find that both sort of go out the window when we have to face bouts of depression or other ills. R&P simply become meaningless, with other types of pains taking precedent. Depression may be one way to "cure" R&P issues, though I wouldn't recommend depression as a solution for anything.

BTW, apologies for getting names mixed up. I'm good with faces, but names give me a real problem (or so the joke goes!) It's happened on occasion that someone greeted me by name and all I could answer with was, "Hey... you..." or something along those lines. smile

I am getting worse, shrink Wednesday on Zoom.
GP got smashed (DENIED) for a early onset Alzheimer's test a while ago.
Been a tad down, lock up covid fatigue.

Hi, it’s been a while. I am sitting in my patio admiring the new paint job on my house. It hadn’t been painted in many years but now it looks fresh and clean and the green color blends in with the trees a little. Now I have to find appropriate spots for all the stuff that’s was stored up next to the house. I guess it’s time for a garage clean out so that I’ll have room for the large garden tools, etc.

My job is still being scheduled only a month at a time, but I am living with it.

Well, the mosquitoes have found me, so I’m going to go in. Have a nice evening/ morning everyone

Hi everyone! Hope everything is well, especially after the storm we experienced in the northeast.

Been a little stress as I decided to open a shop on Etsy. At first, I thought it would be simple until I learn I have to get business and sales certificate, etc. from my state and local county. To be honest, this has really put me off as I make things, which I want to sell, as a hobby. The process is so frustrating. Anyway, I hope I can figure this thing out.

You probably need a DBA (doing business as) and a tax number for your sales taxes. Once you got it, you got it. You are good for a long time. I wish you the best. Can you share some pics of what you are making so we can see?

I never could put photos on the forum. Stkitt used to do it for me when she was alive. She taught me some, now I can't remember how. Photo something. I hate that I can't remember things well anymore. Getting old I guess. If it comes to me by any chance, I will post it.

Forever you can do this. Can't be near as hard as Ebay! Which is obviously struggling.

Lots of sellers left, signed on with Esty.
I use to sell books on Ebay. I stopped 2 years ago.

Fees went up, competition with bigger sellers was and still hard to deal

I thought Ebay was an easy platform to use. Etsy has a lot of fees too and a lot of people aren't happy with Etsy from what I read. I only what to use it as I'm a beginner at this.

It's a real pain to do the business side of it as I have to get a DBA and certificate of sales authority. I think might have to even calculate sales tax, if I sell an item, which I have no clue how to do. All this work for a side hustle. Sigh. Anyway, I posted some pictures of what I want to sell. I hope the links work. You can copy and paste it on URL or highlight it and right click on go to http....

This is just a quick test to see if images work. Apparently you just need to put the links inside [img] ... [/img], or at least so the directions say:

Well, it sort of works... you just need to click instead of seeing the images inline. BTW, the first two are ForeverPositive's items, in case anyone would like to browse or even consider a purchase. smile

Certainly. BTW, those purses are nice work, even if I'm not the purse-carrying type. I'll refer any potential buyers as I come across them... especially as I may be actually seeing coworkers in person if/when the office ever fully reopens.
