I'm in the same situation as everyone else, but one of the things I do, or can do, is walk around the block. But it is an escape, and it is exercise, and it is fresh air, and it is an escape from the 4 walls I'm in much of the time, and there is a chance I'll see someone and may get to talk to them.
Also, I sometimes see some pieces of trash and can bend over and pick it up and feel like I'm improving my community, none of which I can do in my main room.
And if I see some sticks that can be put into a pile for pickup, that's an even better day. I was already on medicines for bipolar, one an anti-depressant (Mirtazapine) and the other med for mania (Lithium), so I was balanced before the covid began so I'm not depressed by the covid because I'm on an antidepressant.
I still my psychiatrist about 1 a month, so if I'm having some kind of trouble, she could help me.
Also, visiting my psychiatrist is socialization, as is my general practitioner, as is my chiropractor and a few places of business I may go into. TV is a great escape. Hobbies.
From just writing this, I'm thinking about visiting a neighbor, and maybe a second neighbor.
Are you on an antidepressant?
