Hi friends,
I'm the one who hasn't EVER found an anti-depressant that works. I always go back to exercise or reading as a way to distract myself. Earlier this week I woke up feeling so down I promptly slept another 6 hours. Then the next day I have my morning Dr Pepper (nice caffeine & sugar) infusion and I feel fine. Yesterday was fairly normal -- then today I'm sore all over and dragging terribly. Really need to mop & vacuum, that task has been overdue for 10-12 days now.
I'm no longer sure where on earth to look for help. Primary care Dr retired, haven't found a new one. One I thought I'd found refused (yes, refused!!) to do a gyn exam/pap smear... said my age 63.5 precludes it. Like cancer risk suddenly goes away? How stupid. Anyway, not a resource I can use to help point to new resources.
Like meds, talk therapy never helped. Now my health is going downhill. Gained weight & lost fitness caring for my Dad last year. Weight gain means cholesterol and blood pressure issues. Lupus still seems to be in remission, but I think my fibromyalgia is becoming more active. Still trying to walk -- 6 days of 2 miles a day like to have killed me (well, the 'feels like' temp was over 100 most of that week). Physical therapist says 1 mile every 2 days. Seems like it will take FOR-EV-ER to get anywhere at that rate.
Just feeling the need to reach out somehow to someone today. Sorry this seems scattered, that's how I feel today. Hope y'all are doing fine!
