Revia for SI urges?

My doctor the other day gave me Revia for the urges to self harm. Revia as I've read is used to help people addicted to alcohol and opiates to fight urges and not to be able to get high. I couldn't find any articles about it being used for my urges. I was wondering if anyone else has been givin this?

Hey ya clever, Physicians are starting to prescribe Opioid Antagonists such as Revia for people who self-harm. It is a little complex as to the reasoning behind it but I have a link from the Psychiatric Times that is left over from school as we did a study on it...not on Revia but on the Opioid Antagonists.
