I've not posted before, but your post caught my eye as I have experienced the loss of a therapist before, and know what it's like to lose someone that you've let into your world. I just want you to know it's okay to grieve your loss. This was someone you had a relationship with. She obviously cared for you also as she made sure you had someone else to talk to when she was gone. Don't be discouraged if you have to try 2 or 3 times before you find a therapist that works for you. I felt like I'd never replace the therapist I was seeing. I still miss him and try to be thankful that he helped me during the time I did have with him. The lady I'm seeing now is great. I find her approach different than before but I think maybe it's a good change. I hope the very best for you. Don't give up.
Hi intheozarks,
Just wanted to welcome you to healing well
Hope you continue to post
I'm glad that you found another therapist that you felt you could talk to nd open up to as it is hard in the first place so starting over can be difficult but I'm glad she is helping you.
Sometimes a different approach can be useful too, all therapist work differently.
Take care and hope to hear from you again
