Posted a message yesterday on the asthma/allergy forum. I guess I expected a reply. I'm having a hard time dealing with my Sinusitis pain at night and asked if anyone knew what else I could focus on... got no replies. Starting to crash emotionally. Tried to cry myself to sleep that made my pain worst. At this point I would be excited if I could cry myself to sleep at night. Any suggestions !!! My doctor's appointment isn't until the 11 Sept.( Just so tired-physically) I don't think my post on the other forum violated any rules, I'm thinking I 'll stop using the Augmentin, been on it for 5 1/2 days not feeling any better than when this Sinus infection first started. Just feel bad. sad

SINUS infections are the dreadfull!!! my boyfriend had one of those not to long ago he felt like crap as im sure you do. I HONESTLY have never had one.

Sept 11 seems so far away....if i were you and your meds arnt working i would just go into a local everybody can walk in clinic maybe they could help you out.

Have you tried going for a shower or a hot bath to clear your sinus's??

Or boil some hot water put it into a bowl make sure to put some vicks into the bowl...place your head over the bowl and put a towel on your head that might make you feel a tad bit better. I would hope so. :D

Hi Chartreux, I am so sorry that you didn’t get any replies to your post in the asthma/allergy forum.  Perhaps it may be because it is a holiday weekend and that forum is just slow.
Sinus infections are terrible, I haven’t had one in several years (knocking on wood here) but when I did get them and was on antibiotics I would alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 4 hours for pain relief.  Of course this was with doctor’s approval.  I am wondering if maybe you could call your doctors nurse and ask if can get into see him sooner?  Especially if you’re having so much pain.  I hope your antibiotic starts to help soon...hang in there

Thank you for your replies, I've tried the baths they help a little and I can't take tylenol because I'm on mobic to help reduce inflamation. It was nice to get your suggestions and I wish I could get my appointment sooner but specialist are hard to get to see. It's been a long time since I've felt this bad and my pcp(primary care physician) just recently left his practice so I don't have a pcp right now, just a Asthma/Allergist and ENT. life has a habit of messing you up once in awhile. scool

Ya i know what you mean. BOOOOOOO well just relax and eat icecream it soothes me. :D so maybe it will help you out.
