Hi! I am a 46 yr old mother of 2 (boys 18 & 10) have just moved into a new house, had joint replacement and carpal tunnel surgery and am not working right now. I have had problems with depression since about a year after my youngest was born. Been on effexor, prozack, others that I don't remember am on Wellbutrin XL right now 450 mg but it's not really helping so much any more. Went on the net and found this place so thought I'd give it a try. All I know for certain is that depression sucks! I'm lucky though, my hubby is very supportive and does his best to make me happy and to get me to laugh! Hope to make some friends and recieve support as well as give some as well. Well guess that's all for now!

Hi Trouble, welcome to Healing Well. I'm certain everyone will be stopping by soon to say "hi." Congratulations on your new house! I'm sorry that you are not working now and fighting depression. You will find lots of support here, especially if you have any specific questions about meds and stuff. One thing that I've learned always help with my depressed moods is to think about what I'm "grateful" for. Sounds like you have a wonderful man in your life. I know that depression hurts but try to keep laughing at your hubbys jokes. :)

Hi Trouble!, Welcome to healing well forum...I like your screen name! its very cute tongue .  I have to wonder if it is for you or your boys?  I am glad to hear that you have lots of support with your husband, that is very important when you have depression and also when you have some chronic illnesses as you have described.  My mom went through joint replacement of her knees at the same time....thought it was going to kill me seeing her go through all that pain.  So I can imagine how hard it is for you with having a joint replacement.  It is a very long, painful process.  I have several medical problems myself along with depression and anxiety/panic disorder....so I can understand.  I hope you find this site helpful for you there is lots of support here and also information so I hope you do continue to post.  Take care

 Thanks for the welcome hopefulmigrainer and els! :-)   I have had problems with stress related migranes so I really hope you are getting help with that issue. The commercial with the little monster is funny to most people but fot those with migrains know its not even close.

 I was very happy to find this site, don't know why I didn't try to find something like this a long time ago. It helps alot to talk to people who really understand where your coming from. Oh and I earned the nickname quite honestly els! devil When I'm not quite so stressed I love joking around and making others laugh! I guess thats why my in-laws ask if I'm ever gonna grow up? (Nope not planning on it any time soon)The gals I used to work with all e-mail and tell me that work is so much duller now that I'm not there. Thank goodness for friends! 

 Something I'm grateful for...does Bon Jovi count?! yeah     Ok good... I'm also grateful that god doesn't give up on you even when you seemto have given up on him! Well that's all for now!
