Well, today mom and I saw the psychiatrist for the first time, nice guy. First it was just him and mom and then they called me up in the room to discuss meds. At first he wanted to know everything that she was taking and things she tried in the past, I guess she couldn't remember. She didn't seem to into the visit, but she's really down and it's getting worse by the day. I know that she hates the way she feels and she also hates the way she looks since she lost so much weight. He took her off the Wellbutrin and put her on Trazadone to start off with to take at night and said it will help her sleep too since she's not sleeping right either. Don't know much about it so just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it? Also gave her Xanax for the anxiety. She's still seeing the psychologist once a week too.
We go back to this guy in 2 weeks and take it from there I guess. I have to be honest and say that he did seem concerned that more or less she is giving up her will to live. I don't know if she can or wants to fight this anymore and I think he caught on by the way he was looking at me. I'm scared for her and I'm feeling guilty like I'm not doing enough but I don't know what else can be done, I really don't...
Thanks once again for any advice and listening to me complain.
Dee
