Lexapro, from 10 to 15mg?

I'm currently on 10mg of Lex, its been working great so far but within the past two weeks, I feel as if I need to go up to 15mg. All the issues that Lex has done wonders for are creeping back slowly but surely. I'm about to start a very stressful year as well.

So I was wondering if this would be the appropriate thing to do? I will speak to my neuro of course but I would like outside info because I start talking to him.

And whats the difference between 10 and 15mg? How different would one feel?

I would really appreciate anyones help/replies.

Hi Carly, I havent taken Lexapro but I have heard many good things regarding it.  I do know that when your taking an antidepressant it is sometimes necessary to increase or adjust the dosage to reach a good balance.  I dont know what a threaputic level for Lexapro is in regards to millagrams.  I would address this with your doctor especially if your have reoccuring symptoms of depression.  It is always best to try to stay ahead of it before it become too bad.  I am sure others will post to let you know of thier experiances with Lexapro.  Please do post again and let us know how you get along.

Carly, I am also on 10mg lexapro and having the same problem, was thinking exactly the same as you are. Let me know your outcome. How long have you been taking it?

Scaredycat and els, thank you for your replies, I actually havn't been on Lex that long, about 2 months by now. I've just made an appointment with my neuro for next wednesday so I'll let you know what happens.

How you long have you been taking it scaredy?

3 months, but it stopped working as well a couple weeks ago. After christmas , probably a duel effect. plus the long winter ahead doesnt' help

Hmmm, so we're in a similar position, I thought it was just me. Ok well I'll let you know how the appointment goes!
