I was on my computer playing card games and my b/f was in his office playing his guitar and the next thing I know someone is pounding on my door.
I answer it and she tells me we have to get out because our garage is on
fire.
We lost both cars. Then we find out our landlord has NO insurance on
this place.
It melted the neighbors garage siding and the siding on their house.
He is screwed
Thank God we had full coverage on both cars,.and renters insurance.
THEN
When the lady came pounding on our door,we ran outside and then I turned
around and my b/f was heading back into the house. I FREAKED!!!!! She was
holding me back so I would not follow him. He got his computer. I
understand his thinking that it is his lifeline as far as his job,all of
his records are on it,his clients ect ect. But I of course thought the
house was on fire too. It is amazing as our house is only about
a foot
away from the garage. Thank god it was not attached. The firemen did a
great job. They were here within 5 minutes. I hugged the fire chief
several times and told him Thank you
Panic has set in this morning along with total anxiety. he only slept for about
an hour last night.
I slept longer but was having nightmares that he was in the house and the roof collasped. I woke up shaking.

I'm so glad you are both safe!!! How scary!!!! Is the house itself ok? I can understand the anxiety and panic you are feeling. Just try to keep telling yourself that you and your b/f are ok!!!!

So glad you both are OK. At least your losses are covered by insurance and nobody was hurt. Hang in there...

Thanks all. The house is ok except for a window and some siding. It scares me to death though because now I don't feel safe at all. I feel so bad for my b/f because one of the cars was his other "baby" (me being the first ;) ) A 1996 Trans am that he loved and took such good care of. Now it is charcoal in the driveway.
I am so glad we didn't lose the house,I can't even imagine. Someone is watching out for us that is for sure!

Hi there
doing ok,looking at cars this weekend that is stressful!.
I had a major anxiety attack Thursday after things settled down. It lasted for about
12 hrs. I was pretty calm during the fire,I guess I held it all in and it had to hit me sometime. YIKES
