Minti: I share not only frozen shoulder with your, but also age and gender. I have had this condition for about
6 months. My condition was caused from a fall down the stairs. Anyway as far as doing anything to help, I can tell you I am there. I have tried accupuncture. I have only had 3 sessions, it is costly and of course not covered by insurance. I do intend to continue with a few more sessions as I can tell you that this nagging pain I had in the upper forearm as a result of the accident has been relieved. So I would suggest seeking out a good accupunturist. Ask around. Some physicians may even have a recommendation. Some hospitals may be able to refer you. My physician (MD) is very
open minded and suggested the
accupuncture to me. I did have a shot of cortisone, however, I do not think it did one thing. I have used
castor oil packs. I pour castor oil onto unbleached flannel and place on my shoulder area, I then put on a pc of plastic (saran) and then over that I place the heating pad, you could use a hot water bottle. I leave this on for about
30 minutes. I have seen my
chiropractor. There is not much she can do for it and has been very honest about
that. I did see a zero balancer (
ZB:
Zero Balancing (ZB) is a hands-on bodywork system designed to align your energy body with your physical structure. Simple yet powerful, it focuses on your whole person, even when addressing specific needs) in her office, to no avail. Maybe more session would have been beneficial. But when insurance does not cover the alternative approaches I can not afford to continue. I did give it two tries. I did order some ointment over the internet called
Rumalaya, you could look that up. Some people think it really helps. I could see no difference. I have had
Physical Therapy. I could see little results with that. My physician wants me to undergoe intensive PT right now. So I am going to try that. My insurance does cover that.
I just ordered a book by
Brian Schiff (through internet) on frozen shoulder. I have not read it yet, but plan to this week. I also ordered a shoulder wrap for pain, called
Coldone.(on internet) Just ordered it yesterday. It will help with pain after the physical therapy. The
supplements I take are MSM, BFC (Bone . Flesh and Cartilage) by Natures Way,( I order from vitacost.com)., I take hydrolyged collagen, glucosamine, and silica. Maybe I forgot something, oh yes, epithelial tissue. Yikes I mean maybe you can go overboard with everything, but I don't think so. You just have to keep trying. So if you know of anything else Minti please let me know. I am
open to try anything. I also use 1 T. of Flax seed oil definetely every day. Health to you!!
PS I am looking into EFT. Emotional Freedom Technique, I hear it helps a lot of people with a lot of conditions. Why not!
