Hey Aurora,
Everyone is different here, some people having more in common than others. Some members have been posting for a long time and recognize each other, so they post back and forth frequently. Sometimes it just might be how your word your Post Heading. Something very simple like "Feeling Depressed" is probably not going to get much attention. After all, this is the "Depression" forum (DUH!!!) so chances are that most of us, being depressed ourselves, just don't have that much to add to the post, or just don't have the energy to type anything. Sometimes I'll start a reply to a post, but just get bogged down in the middle, and end up just quiting before I finish the post. One other thing, look at the original post date. Some posts with lots of views and/or replies have actually been on the board for months and just get pulled up every now and then. Other times, if you notice the last reply column date, it may be several days or weeks old. I've noticed a definite trend that people pop up and post, then don't check back in for some period of time. Weekends can be especially slow. You can make a post, but might not get a response for a couple of days, just cuz people are doing other things.
Above all, there isn't someone monitoring the forum at all times, and posting a reply every time a new post or reply shows up. The longer you hang around, the more you will notice the signs I've pointed out above. Lastly, there's nothing personal about the amount of replies one person gets verses another. Depressed people can be very random.
I hope this helps some. I was going to start my own post, but just couldn't get past naming the post with something I was was satisfied with. Talking about lame(LOL!!!) Oh, well. I will think good thoughts for you.
