I'll keep it brief, I hope.

I've been dealing with stress, anxiety and depression for over 18 years. I've been through a lot and managed to make it this far. No small miracle, believe me. From complete nervous breakdowns to suicide attempts and everything in between. Even a few stays in psych wards.

Anyway... I do pretty good most of the time now. I am a lifer as far as medication goes, without it there would be no Doug.

I have taken it upon myself to help people that suffer from these diseases/disorders and help myself as well, by talking and sharing information.

I look forward to meeting many of you (I hope) and sharing.

Funny how things work some times.

I was just reading your thread and thinking to myself how familiar some of it sounds.  I don't suffer from fibro though.

I know the medication roller-coaster can be a long and painfull journey, but stick with it and stay in touch with your Dr.  With your help, they will get the med/s and dosage right for you.  It took a few years for my Dr's to start getting it right and finaly got it right 7 years ago.

I, like you, fought going to see psychiatrists and psychologists for a long time.  Then when I did go, I didn't tell them much.  I didn't want anyone to know what I was thinking.  I did eventualy open up enough for them to get an idea of what was going on inside my head.

You're doing a great thing by being here and talking with people.  We that suffer with these conditions can be of great help to each other.

It's been a long road to reach a managable level.  A lot of reading, searching and learning.  I would have liked to have things like this forum when I was first suffering.

If there is anything I can do to make my sites more accessable for people, do let me know.  Perhaps hosting them myself to get rid of the sponsor ads.  I would rather my articles be available for everyone to read.
