new here had a question about cymbalta 60mg

hi i was wanting to see if any one here ever took cymbalta 60 mg and if so did it work for you i have mild depression.and a little scared about taking it i have used valium 10 mg 2 times a day but the doctor dont think its working that i need some exstra help like cymbalta.and i take tramadal 50 mg for my back 2 to 3 a day.thanks Rick

I take 30 mg x2 daily. I feel it works great for me. I used to be on Prozac & continued to have depression symptoms. I have to say, since I've been on cymbalta, I no longer cry & I am able to cope better. I started at 20mg x2 daily, but, I need more. Good Luck & God Bless.

Thanks for your reply it helps.but do you think that 60 mg to start off with might be a bit much .im 56 year old white male.dont know if age has any affect with this med.and also if i start on it tomorrow how soon do you think i will notice or fell any different.and thanks again.Rick

Rick, I actually started on 20 mg 2x daily, but, my symptoms didn't go away. But, once I increased, I can tell I feel much better. Not crying or having pity parties. I don't know if starting at 60 is too much???? And I can't remember how quick it worked.

I take cymbalta and do think it helps alot. But valium and xanax won't help with depresision they will just help take the edge off stress or anixety. Ya know. They work well together for me. But we are different.
