Hello everyone,
I haven't been to a counseling appointment in about 2.5 months already, which for me, is a long time. I have a lot of stuff that I needed to talk about since then, but now it sorta doesnt bother me anymore, but I feel like I should mention it anyway.
Anyway, I was wondering....
I LOVE my therapist. Such a great person and I thought I felt really comfortable around her. But now that I think about it, every time I go in her office I get really intimidated, and she's by far an intimidating person. How can I settle my nerves and just calm myself down mentally before i go in the office and spill? I get really hesitant in mentioning things as a result of this
Also, I would really appreciate if you guys could give me tips for this-
When I get nervous about something, especially silence, or a counseling appt, or anything, I get really really hot and I feel very sick to my stomach and my stomach makes these noises. Natually, I understand that this happens to everyone, but I just get really embarrased because I feel lke I can't be serious. Food or OTC medications or anything I can take to settle my stomach? Or mental tips to help myself calm down before going in to confess my feelings?
I really appreciate any feedback!
THanks!
