Hi Sheryl,
Sometimes you just have to keep the faith, good friends are usually friends for life. I have had friends that I didn't talk to for years, due to them moving or getting on with their lives. But they will always be true friends. And I know that they still think about me, even if I don't hear from them for a long time. I am sure that your friend is just struggling with something right now and in time she will be back to normal.
I don't think that she would be upset with your email. She might not write back right away. But I am sure that she is thinking about you. And I am sure that she appreciates the update about the children. So try not to worry about it, just know that she will be there for you and you for her again. Letting her know that you care is a good idea. But be understanding and respect her space. She will appreciate that. I know.
Have you ever been in a fibro flare and too tired to even talk? I have so I understand how that feels. Maybe she is going through something like that. Maybe she is going through a bout of depression too. That makes you not want to talk to anybody about anything. You just want to rest and sometimes do nothing but sleep. Or there could be something else going on that she will explain to you later when she is feeling better. So don't dispair, I am sure when she feels better, she will get ahold of you.
Keep the faith,
hugs, Karen
PS If you have something that you needed advice from her on, don't hesitate to post about it here, everybody is very understanding and will help you as much as they can. You can always email me if you feel the need. I am around a lot at this time.
