ok were do i begin today me my mom and dad were eating dinner im the only child we all came form turkey the contry so my mom was talking to my dad about how they have a place were they teach free english and i told my mom why dont you go there then my dad starting to brust out all of his angar on me for some reason saying how i am stupid a failure at life how im gonna be a bum when i grow up that they just think i just want them dead i hate them and such and just went down hill form there becasue i am on the computer alot and i al doing bad in school they think i dont try but i really do and i think about them all the time i tell them that they dont belive me i dont know what im gonna be when i grow up they said they might just  fly me back to turkey and leave me there i dont know what to tell them this wasent i am lazythe frist time this happened but i really had enough

they dont trust me anymore like they used too my mom calls me every hour telling me what im doing i leave my room she is telling me where i am going im talking on the phon e she is tell me who is it i am 16 years old almost 17 she even tells me  what to wear and if i dont she starts yelling at me idk what to do anymore

Hi turkboy, welcome to HW we are glad to have you join us here.  I am so sorry for all your going through now.  I know its really hard to be positive when you dont have peace in your home.

I wonder how old you were when you moved here?  The reason I ask is that perhaps your parents most especially your father doesnt see the situation quite like you do.  Such as your computer usage, to you it is a tool for communication, learning, and also entertainment.  To your father it could symbolize the downfall of the western world (just throwing an idea out there, not saying this is correct). 

What a lot of kids and also parents dont often stop to think about is how their communication style is going to effect one another.  Your father yelling at you in the manner he did has left a lasting impression on you I am sure.  When instead he could of explained calmly to you what his issues were.  I am not saying that what he was saying isnt right just how he said.

Perhaps, you could write him a letter and explain your reasoning to him if you think this will help matters.

I am sure other members will also post to you suggestions so in the mean time hang in there and try to have a good night.

i cant really write him a letter he dosent know how to write/read in english that well and i moved here when i was 6 they are still talking about it yelling at me i really had enough of them i dont know why they hat eme so much but i know that my father dad used to yell at him /beat him and his mom i think that might be one of the problems i really never talk with my parents about anything its like how is school i say good and i go to my room thats it no talking and sometimes i just eat the food in my room to aviod the yelling becasue everytime i eat with them i geet yelled at

I am so sorry that you are living with all of this tension. How are your grades in school? Are you passing all of your classes? I am just curious as to why your mother and father would treat you like a failure.

You have come to a good place Turkboy, everybody here is very kind and coompassionate. They listen and give the best advice that they can. I hope that you keep writing.

im my report card i had ddcc i am starting to do worse in school ever year i am a junior whe n iwas a freashmen i had all Bs and As
some other thing my parents say when u get old ull just look form the key hole and watch until we die and and they say when we die u can throw a party etc

That is too bad that your parents act like that and say the things that they say. What do you think has caused your grades to drop? Are you studying like you should? I can't understand why your parents would say things that sound like you hate them. Do they do that just to get to you? I am sorry that you have to go through so much.

gosh i feel sorry for you boy,your parents are lacking parenting skills..........your parents and confused parents need to join a parenting class that i am holding in few days (lol) ,enroll them over.

Anyways i was trying to make you smile ,jokes apart concentrate on your goal in life and school.Don't listen to negativity as it attracts more clutter in your mind making you negative too.

We are here to support you .Don't lose hope.Grades will get better when you stop thinking what parents say and why?

yea like i like always wanted to talk to my parents why are they acting like this but i just cant cause i know what will happen

Do you meant that you can't sit down and have a conversation with them without them yelling at you? I hope that it doesn't get worse than that. What do you mean when you say that you know what will happen? You should be able to express yourself as long as you are not disrespectful. Maybe you should talk to a school counselor and maybe they can help you to get your grades back up. Maybe you can do a lot of your studying at school.
