Increase of medication Lexapro

Hi all,

Has anyone increased their medication Lexapro from 10mg to 20mg? If so, what changes have you felt? Anything different with weight gain or tiredness?

My doctor suggested I increase to 20 mg, however, I am apprenhensive because of the weight gain. But I really don't have any motivation at 10 mg. Can anyone go into detail for me about Lexapro. Thanks so much

Hi there,

I don't take lexapro at all, I take effexor which is suppost to be a close cousin.

Hopefully somebody will come along with some advice for you. I imagine you need to give it time and see what happens. Sadly a lot of medications do cause weight gain. But we can counteract that with diet and exercise.

I used Laxapro and increased from 10 mg to 20 mg and really do not remember any side effects but this med did not work for me.
