Ok new me doing it alone

Hi Jane,

I really think that when your daughter goes, it will be a lot less stressful for you.  I think that you will be feeling a lot better, for this though I get sad.  It is too bad that she is so hard to live with.  I wish I could wave a magic wand and curse her with niceness.  But I can't. 

Jane, I imagine you as such a fighter.  I can't picture you being depressed for much longer.  You have that quality of being able to look at life and see the goodness in things.  I too want to be able to get out and walk, and I haven't been able to.  I just can't get myself to go.  I use every excuse in the book to stay inside.  I know I have to break this habit of mine and just go.  Either it is too hot, or I am just too tired.  I find some reason everyday, don't have time.  It never ends.  But I know that soon enough I will be out there walking my dogs like I normally do.  Sometimes we just have to give ourselves permission to take that break and not feel guilty about it.  I think you need to allow yourself to take a break from it all once in a while.  Try to relax and just take it as it comes for a while.  Allow yourself to feel what ever you want.  If you want to be sad, so be it.  Feeling guilty only makes it harder I think.  But also let those feelings pass through you so that you can be happy again.

I hope that I am making sense, sometimes I get thinking faster than I can type and I forget what I want to say.  I blame that on fibromyalgia fog.  That is the term they give it.  So I use it.  Works for a lot of problems.LOL...

I am finally coming to the point where I can let go of all of my floral equipment. I use to have a floral shop, until I got the fibromyalgia. It has been sitting around collecting dust for six years. My husband has been complaining about moving it for so long. Now I am finally giving it up. I am going to put an ad on ebay or something and get rid of it. I have craft items all over the place, but I have the old shop to store them in. I like to paint, draw, wood burn and make jewelry. I love working with rocks and stones. I have a rock saw that I can cut them on. But it is all just sitting there, I havent worked on any of it in so long. But I couldn't part with that stuff. Sometimes your husband makes me angry. You should be able to keep those things that you enjoy. Your hobbies are worth just as much as his, and you should be able to buy something that you like when you want. I am sure that you take good care of him and you deserve some pleasures in life. Sorry I get angry, but I do.

I will end here for now, hoping that you feel better really soon. Maybe you can play with some of your hobby things, to feel better, instead of selling them. Keep in touch.

Jane oi agree with karen, you should be able to keep what you want, spend what you want he does, why shouldnt you be able too.

How long is she going away this time, where does she go? hope im not getting to personal, do you have to drive her again.

Im very sorry to hear about the joeys that didnt make, i still glad you have the one Bart you siad is doing good.

How do all the joeys get lost from there mama's, do they abondon theml or do they just fall out?

does ama get killed adn the little joes crawls out? A mama can only carry one joey at at right, they dont have litters, just the one koey right.

Sadly all the joeys that come to me have been orphaned their mothers have been hit by cars or trucks and have been kiled or that seriously injured they would die anyway .The joeys are usually still in the pouch when they are found but some that are larger are pushed out but the mother.
The little one i got on Saturday the fellow who bought her in said he stopped to pick up the dead roo that had been freshly hit by a car as he was going to give it to his dogs to eat ( he lives on a farm and thats what they feed the animals so it wasn`t waisted ) anyway in the morning whenhe went out to cut it up there was a joey in the pouch and by some chance she was still alive .The poor little joey was so cold and she came to me after lunch on the saturday so very hungry indeed .she still does not have the strength to stand yet but at the moment is holding her own .
The mother kangaroo only carries one joey at a time however two have been found on rare occassions .They are a remarkable animal as they are the only animal that can susped life .( by that i mean they have a joey in the pouch and there is one already in their uterus forming ,if the one in the pouch does not leave the pouch the mothers body releases some type of hormone that stops the growth from occouring ,then when the joey leaves the pouch she swtiches on this hormone and the develement continues .)
When a joey is born it is not formed compeletly obly it`s front hands and it`s mouth .It is the size of a jelly bean ( that small ) it has to crawl up to the pouch while the mother sits on her bak ,when it gets to the pouch it finds a small teat and connects to it .there it stays for months not removing the tear and growing each day .
usually when a joey comes to me it`s aroung 120days old already but a very long way from being able to live without our help .We have them in care for another twelve to fourteen months when they reach about 12-15kg when they are then released to live out a normal life free in the bush .
They are the only animal known to scientist who do this with their young to stop life and they are the only animal that scientists can`t artificially inseminate for reproduction.
I know i have reared a lot of joeys that would of otherwise died but it really gets to me everyone i loose

Karen i think a lot of people who hit them don`t even look at the roo even to see if it has died they look more to the damage the roo did to their car .so the ones who hand in the joeys are travellers who stopped to help the injured mother .they are the ones that care not the drivers .But the night time is really bad out here because you can`t see them jumping until it`s too late and people are travelling way to fast to even see them .
I have little hiking back packs that the joeys sleep in i make them nice and warm with a pillow case and a couple of towels they are closed up and the joeys sleep most of the day as they grow older they stick out their head and at that stage i just lie the pouch out on the gras and they start to nibble the grass as the months pass the joey will then come out of the pouch for very short periods .But then i kick them out from time to time to stretch their legs as what the mother kangaroo does in the wild they do not like it one bit but they need the exercise .

Hey Karen thats a wonderful thing you are doing for the shelter .All those animals and workers must really appreciate it .
I do not donate but instead i buy the milk for my kangaroos even thoughit`s getting to be very expensive to buy now just like everything else .The last time i bought it i could only afford a 10kg bag as it was over $300 for it .Each joey i care for that is eventually released costs me around $600. so you see at that rate there is never anything left to give anyone .When i was looking after the little children i used that money to pay for the animals needs not sure how much longer i can do this for as hubby is always at me about spending money .The funny thing is that the only money i spend is for food for the family and he is always telling me to cut back but there is only so much one can cut back on the basic things.
I live in the middle of a small country town with a population of only 5000 .the kangaroos are not released from where i live but there are lots of release sites i can use but the most favoured one is about 40 minutes away the people who have that property have set their farm up as a nature reserve and there fore shooters are not allowed on their property the kangas are safe there and are really looked after .
The most i have had at one time is ten but then i was so flat out caring for them it was really hard but these days i have had to say no to some of them as i just can`t afford the costs involved and not being really well it takes it`s toll .
All i have done this morning is feed the animals so far and it`s now almost 12 md the five bats took such a long time to feed as i have to hand feed each one seperately and it`s a very slow process indeed .
Best go and do the house work before it`s feeding time at the zoo again.

Morning Karen it`s just after 6:30 here in the morning had a dreadful night just could not sleep even my relaxation tape didn`t help last night .The carry on of my daughter yesterday really got to me .Think today i will have to have a bit of a lie down at some stage because i`m starting to feel the effects of the lack of sleep .It`s such a cold morning here even the little pup who sleeps inside the back door is still curled up in a little ball .I lighted the fire a few minutes ago so will take a bit to warm the place up ,looks as though i will be having it going most of the day again .Hopefully today i will be a bit more organised with the animal feeding schedule even though i managed to get all the washing finished and most of the house looking pretty good by the time hubby arrived home from work,today i will do the ironing and want to do a bit of baking for them it`s been a while since i did any ( pretty slack of me but finding the incentive to do it isn`t easy lately .
Well must get a move on ,will feed the joeys first and snuggle them down in their pouches they don`t mind when they get fed as long as they do and with only having three meals a day it`s pretty easy.

Out where im at we have to be careful not hit deers, lots of dears run in the road, and you dont see them til its too late.

sherly hitting the dears would cause a lot of damage to a car if they hit you so do be careful .On one holiday we had up in the Northern Territory we were driving along this gravel road when a large herd of camels came running out of no where it was a great sight to see but kept us on our towes for the rest of the trip.

I would freak right out seeing a herd of camel. I heard that they are mean and bite you. That would be worse than a herd of moose or elk. Wow, just to think about it is scarey.

It was a great experience to say the least not sure i would climb up on one again.Once in a life time is enough for me.
Tonight i gave in and took some valium i`m just so tired and need to have a sleep tonight .Last night was such a shocker .after lying in bed for several hours i finally fell to sleep but woke a short time later in tears i have no idea why i was crying .I do not remember having a dream but this is happening a lot more often lately .It`s starting to get to me .Hoping i will atleast sleep a bit better tonight .Will drop in tomorrow when i get a few moments.
