Dear jane,

Please do get your rest as that is so important to the healing process and keeping  good control of your depression.  Remember there will be ups and downs and when they happen just accept them and then move on.

You have my suport always.

Morning all,
Well i did sleep a lot better last night and was so much warmer ,the down side is i woke up feeling pretty low for some reason not sure if it is a side effect of the valium or the slide has started again.But am planning on doing a few things today and will be keeping pretty busy hoping it will make it go away .
My sons puppy has a fettish about my pet chicken every time we put him outside he goes and westles with her poor chicken just sits there .Yesterday when he did the same thing i felt sorry for the chicken so i tied up the put ,next moment the chicken was over there with him but just far enough away from him so he couldn`t reach him then proceeded to walk around and around the pup not sure who has been tourmenting who or just who i should tie up next time .As i`m sitting here typing the dog is sitting here in his basket and the chicken is pecking on the glass on the back door .This is certainly a strange house i live in and just goes to show you anything is ppossible.

I use to have this huge dog pen. The squirrels would run around the edges of it knowing that the dogs couldn't reach them. It drove them crazy. It was kind of funny.

HOpe that you have a great day Jane. Hope that you feel less down as the day goes on.

Thanks Karen if i think possitive then hopefull it will improve .I`m off to feed the zoo now hope you get to have a good sleep think it`s getting close to bed time over where you live now .

That is so cute! The chicken must understand that the pup is not going to hurt it. Too funny

I would love to be at your house for a day,I bet it is very cool with all of the animals.

LOL Jane I would to live a day there too, how funny, he chicken taunting the dog. Hiliarios.

when i was much younger the neighbors had a pet pig, and he would dome in our univited and mes with my dog, it was pretty funny cuz that pig was fearless, he wasnt big though little guy.

I would love to see the chicken and puppy act too.  Maybe you should take it on the road. devil

All i can say today is i have PEACE they have left hubby will be back late sunday but that i can handle .Just to have the break away from my daughter is all i need .Last night was a shocker and what ever the the pain is in my neck it has become so painful over the past couple of days but will let it go and see what happens could be extra stress from this past week .
There is never a dull moment in this place concerning animals i`m glad hubby is at work as he would certainly go crook at the going ons .This chicken knocks her beak on the door to let us know she wants to come in for a rest from the dog and to get a snack while inside ( she is pretty good has never left any little bundles while inside ) but thats ok i don`t mind this pup is running her raggard.She is even laying her eggs in a cupboard outside so the dog can get them we found a stach of them this morning .
My little Joey Bart is the funniest thing he is just at the stage now where he has to get out of his pouch for a very short time to go for a run .he gets so excited he flipps over yesterday we were in stitches as he ended up on his back with his legs wrapped around each other he just couldn`t move .But loves to snuggle in for a hug when ever i nurse him .Little Maggie the latest one (only been here a few days ) has been so unwell she is just so malnourished she is liturally skin and bones a sad site to see .She has started to pick up a little now and is looking for her bottle when i open her pouch .This is a good sign indeed ,we have turned the corner with her so i can say she will make it now if her tummy settles down .
Hubby wasn`t that impressed with the pup last night he was up to him a few times as was i on my last trip with him i decided to stay up and glad i did as now i have all my ironing finished only the washing and cleaning to go then i plan to sit down and relax a few days while i can .
Hope all are having a good day / night where ever you are .

Thank you all .Today i have had a great day it`s now almost 1am here so i think i had better head to bed .I know this little pup will have me up the crack of dawn again .Never know what the rest of the day holds for me .Talked to hubby on the phone a few hours ago they arrived safely .He wanted to know what i wanted for my birthday wondered if i needed a new frying pan ( boy he sure has no imagination whatso ever ) told him i would ring him in the morning if i could think of something i would like ,but really i don`t want anything .Apart from a larger fish tank but don`t think he would agree to that one so no point even mentioning it ( he knows i would only buy more fish to live in it .he he there is always new ones appearing in the tank i have as it is .
But hubby has never been one to buy me something that he thinks i would like rather something that i can use to cook with and as it be know i hate cooking .
Well must get these eyes shut if only for a couple of hours .Take care .

Good morning Jane,

When is your birthday, it must be soon. I hope that he gets you something nice that you like. My first husband use to be like that, he would get me things for the kitchen if he did at all. Then he would give me a card and never sign it. I thought about giving them back to him on his birthday and see if he would notice.LOL...

If you have anymore stories about your animals I would love to hear. Are your fish saltwater or freshwater? I use to have fish too. Just love them. I like to watch them.

Morning Karen my fish are fresh water don`t think i could have salt water ones out here it`s just too far inland .They were all the same size when my oldest daughter bought them for me but two of them have turned into monsters they are atleast five times bigger than the rest of them . hence thats why i would love a bigger fish tank for them .My birthday is near the end of the month and this one puts me over the hill so to speak .But it`s just a number to me birthdays are nothing special only my kids ones .

As for the animal stories the only one i can thinkof at this time of morning is our pet Galah ( a native bird related to the parrot family) he has the uncanny nack of laughing when someone falls off our back step just cracks us up goodness knows where he picked it up .He sleeps in my laundry at night and in the morning he starts coughing as i do every morning until i say good morning to him .He is such a character picks up on human speach so fast a few of the things he says are " whats you doing", " hello bek ", " comeon " ( he is calling all the kangaroos in for a feed ) calls the chicken to the back door and when ever anyone has been to my home and is leaving george ( the bird ) says by george then waves goodbye by flapping one of his wings in a waving motion .Everyone just loves him we have had him for a few years was a bird that fell from a nest high in a tree so we hand reared him .
But must run see you all a bit later today .

Hi Jane,

Thanks again for the story. Your bird is such a character. Laughing at people when they fall off of the steps. Calling the kangaroos. That is awesome, I must say.

If you get a bigger fishtank, your fish will get bigger. They grow with the environment that they are in. They will not out grow it too. Funny how nature is.

I hope you got some sleep last night. You do need your rest. We all do. I seem to do better on less sleep, but it catches up with me. I can only do that for so long. I sleep a lot, but don't get rest. I dream too much I think. I have fibromyalgia and I guess I don't get enough nonrem sleep. All fibros don't I guess, that is why we are always so tired. I could sleep for 24 hours and still be tired.

I hope that you have the most wonderful day. Thanks again for the story. I really got a kick out of it. It was so cute.

Morning Karen ,Boy do i feel tired today it was 3:30 before i crawled into bed just couldn`t sleep thank heavens the pup was so tired as he didn`t want to go out at all last night .It`s a beautiful day here plenty of BRIGHT sunshine ( think i really need to wear some sunnies ) So it can only get better from here .My son is out playing with his bruce (puppy ) he is having such fun with him hopefully he will leave my chicken alone today .
Well plenty of things to do and i must get moving as otherwise i might just fall to sleep . :-)

Hi Jane,

I hope that you are having a good day today. Mine was different. I went out with a girlfriend to town. There is a canoe marathon going on there and there was a craft show that her mom was in. There was a lot of activity. I am not used to it. Old anxiety showed up it's nasty head for awhile, but I made it through. And tried to have fun.

So I am proud of myself for that. But it sure was hard. I am really tired now from all of the excitement. Too bad it has to be so difficult at times. But that is what depression and anxiety is all about. Fighting it.

It is past midnight here so I will retire for the day.

Hi Karen i know exactly how bad the anxiety can be it really takes over it has stopped me from having a normal life .
Congratulation on sticking it out as you did you will have to do it more often to improve your responses to it .For me i have to use valium ifi go out and seeing i`m trying to go without the meds i`d rather stay home .
Today has been a very busy one and this old chook is so tired but just to worked up to think about sleeping yet .mind you it`s onle 8:45pm here so will be up for a few more hours yet .
Ypu will all be happy to know my chicken survived to live another day i put her out in the front garden to keep them apart .I bet she is the only chicken in Australia who come inside to eat her meals .
tonights animal story comes compliments from my son on the day we bought our first ferret as a new family pet .My son who was only nine at the time has eaten pizza for his lunch and didn`t wash his face .Well on the three hour trip home form buying the ferret he wanted to nurse it it was so cute just a ball of fluff .So he did and put it too close to his face well the ferret latched onto his chin and would not let go no matter what we did she kept her hold .finally after about ten long minutes she let go .the son never offered to hold her again .We all had a good laugh at the end of the day as he was the only one in town with his chin peirced .

I can't wait to read your stories,you have the life I dream off,I have always loved animals and as my b/f would say if I had it my way we would have 1 of everything!
My son is going to college to become a vet,and I have told him of your stories,he thinks they are great.

My b/f is the same way,he has no idea what to get me for my birthday or Christmas.... you can tell he stresses about it too...lol..I wish he would use his imagination.

Tell hubby that if it sparkles,it is always a good present.

I am so glad to see the change in you. I hope your neck pain gets better...be careful and don't let it go on for a long time as I am sure you know that can turn into something much worse.

Hi Jane,

A pierced chin, eh? I wonder does he still not hold the ferret? You have such an interesting life with all of your animals. Do you ever think of your home as a miniature zoo? It is just all so interesting.

I use to feed a lot of animals here, it started with the birds. I had coyotes coming in, foxes, deer and turkeys. Also an occasional hawk or falcon would come in and get the birds. But then the neighborhood cats started coming in and ruined everything for me. I eventually stopped feeding the wildlife. Oh yes I had deer and once a bear.

The foxes were cool I had a whole family and got them on the video recorder I had at that time. There was a mother and father and four baby kits.

I hope that you have a good day when you get up. I hope that you slept well.

Hello Shy i would just rather forget this birthday it was a sort of a mile stone for me i had plans of what and where i wanted to be by the time i got here but sadly there isn`t anyone of them that i have accomplished .It just makes me feel down a bit just thinking of them .But hey i`m spending my day by myself i will be home on my won so i can just let it go .As for letting hubby get me something that sparkles he has a horrible taste in jewellery but hey it`s the thought that counts .My neck is not the best just thought it was one of those things that you just wake up with aas a result of sleeping in a odd position but it`s definately not gettting any better and i have a few bad head aches as a result ,will try some sports rub on it tonight to see how it goes .

Hi Karen we had that ferret for many years and sadly she died last year but not before giving us many years of laughter from the things she would do .It was nothing for her to nick food ans store it in the sofa for eating later but there was never any later she just kept hording it .She had a good stash of chocolate and biscuits there one day .Then there as the time my oldest daughter took out some pet food out of the freezer and the next thing we saw her she was dragging it into her bed ,.She had some babies one time in my daughters draw made a nest for them and everything it was so amazing to watch them grow.
We sure have had our fair share of animals over the years from what i can remember there were goats,lambs,poddy calf,deer calf,birds of all kinds ,Kangaroos,snakes,rabbits,rats,ferrets,many lizards,mice ,numerous fish,bats,snails,worms,yabbies and even a spider the kids had snuck in and i`m sure there are plenty more this onld brain can`t remember .
and yes at a lot of times throughout the years it did seem like a zoo no wonder the kids loved to come to our house to stay .

Kitt how wonderful to hear and to go outof state is a great thing .
Yesterday my son presented me with triplets ( of the furrie kind) three two day old goats .
I have named them Coffee ( the brown one ) Tea ( the black one ) Milk ( the white one ) how original can one get but hey they survived the night and boy was it freezing .Half a centimetre of ice on the dogs water dish this morning .But they are all going ok and Bruce is dying to chew them up and play with them .
My only problem is our bird keeps on calling them and they keep coming up to the back door wanting to be fed again .
The chicken was cold last night so has a sleep with the old dog and was still in there a few minutes ago this is a grat place to be especially if you are mad like me ,i fit in so well with all this madness.
Just want to crawl back into bed i`m just so tired from not sleeping .

Three baby goats, or should I say three little kid? LOL...

That could be fun. For a while anyway. Untill they start butting everything in sight.LOL My friend's son has one. He likes to push people around.
