Dear Friends,
I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and prayers. My sister remains in intensive care on a respirator. The tests are being done slow but sure but she has so many systems involved that each team orders different tests.
They removed 5 quarts (5000 cc) of fluid from her abdomen yesterday (for acites). Today they are going to do a paracentesis to removed fluid from around her right lung.
Her kidney function has improved somewhat but she is still in renal failure.
I so wish they could decide on the massess in her abdomen and what to do soon..............appears to have started in her Left ovary and is cancer.
Yesterday she wrote me a note to promise to watch over her only daughter. I feel like she knows exactly what I fear, she will not recover from this as the cancer is to far spread. Her daughter is newly married on 8/1 and now this.
I am home after 5 straight days and nights at the hospital. You are right, I need a rest. Some other relatives are there for a few days.
Next week my own hubby has his surgery for Prostate Cancer. I will then have to make him my primary focus while still maintaining participation in my sisters care.
You all hold me up so well and my therapy is always to come here and be with others.
Love
Kitt
