Extreme fatigue on Prozac?

I started Prozac a little over a week ago, and it's like, a little while after I take it, all the energy that I have is just drained out of me. Sometimes I feel worse on it than I did without it. Has anyone else that's taken it had problems like this? It's getting a little frustrating.

I was on it when I was a teenager so I don't really remember. But I do know that it takes 4-6 weeks for it to start taking affect. And I have heard that some people will feel worse in the beginning. Just give it some time. You can also talk to your Dr about taking it before bedtime if it is causing you to be tired. Hang in there and I hope you will be feeling better soon!

That may be one of the side effects of getting on the med. It may take up to 4 - 6 weeks to start to feel better. Please talk with your physician if you continue to feel something is not right.
