there are a few within 30 miles of where I live. I am going to my county CBT group, but should I join more? I am house-bound and feel I am developing agoraphobia (i don't feel safe anywhere except my home). No friends to take me out of the house.

Hi Eli,

Why don't you join the one and see how it goes. If you feel you still need more support or need to get out of the house, then maybe join another one. You don't want to overwhelm yourself. But being that you are feeling like you re developing agoraphobia, maybe it would be good with more than one. But I would start off with one and see how you like it.

Support groups can be very helpful. Especially when you are depressed. Do you still have any one on one couseling?

i have yet to get one on one counselling. I am uninsured, and the county does not provide one on one. I am also unemployed. I will be calling a service that provides low cost counselling on Monday, as they are closed for the holiday. I have so many things planned in my head, but I have trouble following through. The county group starts in two weeks, it is a CBT group for depression. There is one on Monday, it is a NAMI group.

i understand what a cbt group is, but what is nami? I really hope that you can get help that you can afford. I think that this will be a good experience for you.'
