My wife used it and said it works, but it is important that your doctor knows you are taking it because of drug interactions with it. Hopefully someone will be along soon that has first-hand experience with it.

It does work for some people yes but you can't take it whilst on anxiety/depression medication and it can also stop the contraceptive pill from working

I have mild depression and SAD. I've been taking St. Johns Wort for about 1 1/2 months and for the most part it helps but I still have some days where I can feel the depression coming back but when it does it's much more milder. I've also used SJW in the past for my SAD because I don't want to start on anymore medication and because I know it works for me. I don't think though that if your depression is severe that this will work, I feel that it's more a mildly helpful aid.

i tried it for a few weeks and actually found it made stuff worse for me. having said that, just cos it didnt help me, doesnt mean it wont help you. i would never take it again.

I tried it for a while and didnt see a difference. I was probably to stubborn to actually take it long enough!
