Dear Family,
As you know I have struggled ever since I retired from my nursing career as I had a major depression melt down and had to give up my job 2 years short of my goal.
Yesterday I was hired by our city school district to be a substitute RN at the schools in town. I think I am pretty excited............I know it may not be a lot of hours but I will be doing what I love and that is nursing. I will be spending every day next week oriented at each school but the hours are varied. shortest orientation is a one hour at several of the schools and longest is a 4 hour to learn their computer system. After that it is a casual call and if they have a need they will call and see if I can pick up a day. So no set schedule. Probably won't even be noticed by the members.
I do have some manuals I have to read to get back up to date as in the 3 years I have not been doing hands on nursing.............some things have changed.
I will still be here but maybe not quite as much. Your prayers have helped me get to where I could go and feel good about myself....smiles.......... I cried the day they called and asked me to come to orientation................guess I am not out to pasture yet.
But I got the Job
Hugs
Kitt
