I went seen psychalist . He put me on citalopram 20 mg. He said help my GI tract and also stable my moods. But I don't know if I have depression or not. I go from being happy then irritated then anger then sad and crying. Just stuff with set me off like I have triggers. Is anyone else on this medicine?








crohns disease and hypothyroidism and endometrosis and mitral value prolapse and acid relux
pentasa 500 mg 3 in the morning and 3 evening , 100 mg sythyroid and nexium 20 mg and birth control

Hi Miranda,

It sounds as if you could be depressed. The mood swings are a part of it. I hope that the mood stabilizer helps you. Sometimes with these medications it takes a little time. So be patient.

Does anyone know of good sleeping pill be put on that doesn't make you dizzy just makes you relaxs and tired that isn't addicted . Because am on trazodone and I don't like the way it makes me feel when I take it.

the most effective sleeping pill that worked for me, was serquel, which is also a mood stabilizer. it made me tiered and want to go to bed after 30 minutes or so, but i noticed it made me also tiered when I wanted to wake up.

I take ambien, but it has been known to be addictive.

i have tried taking citalopram (sp?) and am now taking its sister drug lexapro. it helps a lot with the depression. what dosage trazodone are you on? you can try benadryl to help you sleep. its not habit forming.

if you are in the bipolar spectrum, you should be on a mood stabilizer along with your antidepressant. ask you pdoc about adding a mood stabilizer to the mix.

the doctor put me on 100mg trazodone. I call him and suppose call me back put me on something else whenever that is. What is lexapro is that for sleeping or something else? Yeah he put me on citalopram cuz he said help with my crohns and my moods and stuff to try.

Been having problems with citalopram. I keep getting headachs and don't even want to eat and getting nausa and feel like going throw up . Is there any medicine that doesn't have tons of side effects? Because I already get mirance headachs and I can't handle a medicine cause me get headachs even more. So going try talk to my doctor about it but I don't know what tell him that what I want be put on sense I have crohn's . He said this suppose help that and the moods . But I just can't handle the side effects .

I am sorry you are having issues with your meds but if your new to taking the meds it may take your physician and you working together to get a medication combo that will help you.

Each person is different in how they respond to medications.

I would discuss your meds with your physician and I hope you come up with a med that works just right for your needs.
