Change in Plans

I just wanted to tell somebody so don't mind me posting. My SO was talking with his brother last night, he was telling him that I've been looking for a job and he made a suggestion. He was saying that I should look into getting a pale grant that would pay my tuition and for living expenses. I could go to school and get my associate's degree. So, I'd be able to go to school get a education and have a couple hundred dollars a month for living expenses. Don't ask me why we didn't think of this sooner but I had no idea that there was stuff out there like that, so call me naive. I have to say, I'd rather go to school and get started now then a couple years like I had thought. The only thing is, I have to come up with something that I would want to do and that pays well! Because when I think about it I honestly come up with nothing. I've been looking at career handbooks and such so that will help. Also will get info from the community college. This is going to take a lot of dedication on my part so I will have my associate's in 2yrs. I'll be 30! Which is great to me. Anyway this is all in the making but I am so happy this was brought to my attention! (I know I feel kinda dumb) I knew about a grant but didn't know that there are some that pay for living expenses so maybe not so dumb lol.

Thanks Karen and even though you think your too old, I think your a wonderful person! I just never thought in my wildest dreams of getting a degree, it's weird how you see things in a new light! I think it's the best thing that I could do for myself. I know that I wouldn't feel as stuck in life if I can pursue my education and get a career started! Ha! The word career always sounded too big for me but now I know it's really not that scary or really not too far for me to reach! I still have a lot to check out and such but I'm excited about it.
