what does it feel like when you are coming out of a mde?

I think it depends what kind of medication it is and whether you need it or not. Some medications are really hard to come off of and some are easy.

What are you taking and why do you want to come off of it? Either way, do it with the help of your doctor. Many meds you have to wean off of slowly. Please do use caution with this.

I am concerned about this.

Sorry - I didn't mean coming off meds but coming out of the dark place so to speak. Last night I saw my xdbf at a concert and he smiled and waved and when I was watching him talk to a former classmate his face had expression and he looked relaxed. I saw him again at the end of the night and we had a hug and visited for a bit and he sounded so much like his old self which I was happy for- he just seemed to be smiling for "real" if you know what I mean. I don't know if he is finally on meds or what but he just seems better. I hadn't seen him other than once a couple weeks ago when I stopped by his house quickly and dropped some brownies off. I had been sending him a text, e-mail, etc. occasionally to lend support all these months but upon advice from this board I sent my last one last week saying I wasn't going to bug him anymore but if he ever wanted a sober person that cares a lot about him to do something with to just holler and told him to take care and that I really did wish the best for him. In my opinion he was in a mde when he was at my house last August and things had already been way worse than usual since that May. I'm hoping he is on the upswing and just wondering if there is kind of a progression as far as that goes . I guess I am wondering too, if he ever realized or ever will that I was not the cause of his unhapiness like he thought???
