so, regardless of what happens the sun always sets, and rises, but as humans we are chaotic in this process. are we truely happy to be alive? some people say my life is organised chaos, some say it is plain hectic, whilst others complain about the chill of winter or the roaring sun of summer. complain, complain, are we all a pain in the butt? life is ever evolving, technology, medical advances, computers, etc. but, we think to evolve we must keep up, huh i say. what about slowing it down for one day. feel the warmth of the sun, say hello to your neighbour, do something random and be kind to yourself.

 

because of economies things get tighter, albeit not our mouths, we can still shine through nice communication. why become bitter, or enraged. change the things that need change accept the things you can't-but remember you are a human being, too many of us have become less of one.

 

time is both long and short. i hope we all use it better, for the betterment of all. just a thought to raise some other thoughts. have a good one everybody. luv jamie

You are like this sweet angel that gently flits around and spreads good thoughts throughout the forum.  You are truly appreciated by all and what would we do without our Jamie?  :-)   Thank you so much for your wisdom this morning.

I agree, take time back, slow down, why the rush to get through each day?  Enjoy the moments and stay in the moment.  Let the sun shine on your face and look at the stars at night.  Enjoy all that life has to offer.

Hey Jamie, Interesting thoughts. I wonder sometimes if we are force-fed dissatisfaction by the media, in order to encourage more consumerism. I find myself bombarded with messages of “you need this in order to be happy”, and I’m regularly disgusted with it. That is one of the reasons why I don’t watch tv. (I do enjoy a good movie on the set once in a while, but of course that is sans commercials). I’ll admit, I missed my computer while it was in the shop a while ago, and missed keeping up with the forum here. However, I spent more time doing other things that were important to me, and spent more time outdoors, when I didn’t have it. I feel very fortunate to live in a small community, where the pace is slower and the people stop and talk to each other on the street and in public places. There is a sense of fellowship here, and I cherish it. Thanks for the thoughtful and uplifting post. You’ve given me some good things to ponder today!

Jamie, you are so right, we all need to slow down and learn to enjoy life again.  Kitt had answered a post of mine and we discovered we are the same age.  That means we grew up in the 50s and 60s. Life was so simple then.  There was only so much to do and as kids I remember we were outside a lot, riding bikes, going to the beach, and my favortite - I had a pogo stick which my Dad got for me.  I spent hours in my driveway jumping up and down on that pogo stick.  That was real fun. We need to get back to doing simple things, taking long walks, bike riding, enjoying nature.  I spend a lot of time in my garden tending my flowers. That gives me a lot of peace and a good feeling.   We need to turn off our TVs and not listen to all this awful news.  We are going to hear about what's happening in the world anyway.  Get out a good book and escape to a world that is interesting and joyful.

Frances, I was glad to see your post. I have been thinking of you and I hope you are doing well.  I hope the situation with the unemployment has been straightened out. And I hope that you are giving yourself nourishing food.  I also hope that your mortgage situation has improved.  Would love to hear how you are doing.  Life is hard. As you answered my other post you can see I am having some emotional difficulties that I hope I will be able to resolve in a good way. Take good care and remember you are always in my prayers.
