am sorry that this happened. it is hard when you have a connection. don't feel bad, obviously this person was in a very bad place. i would suggest that what happened was most likely her way of crying out for help. yes it is sad that this what happens sometimes. jamie

Hi Quietlycries,

Please do know that when somebody decides to do something like this, there is nothing that you can do to stop them. They are goint to find a way one way or another. I have known many people that have committed suicide and I have learned that once they put there mind to it, they are going to do it no matter what anybody says or does. So please quit blaming yourself. You did nothing wrong. Just be thankful that there was somebody there to get her to the hospital.

You can still be there to support her. But don't get the notion that you will prevent her from trying again. Often people like that do try again. Some don't, but from my experiences, often many do. They just for some reason don't want to live.

Know that my thoughts are with you and that soon you will be able to see her again. Take care my friend.
