Still hanging in there.

I havent been on for awhie but just wanted to drop a note to all that helped me. I am still hanging in here though it is hard. My wife had been waiting since feb. for a counciler. She actually went in for ameeting last week and has an appointment in another week with a specific counciler. We are still living in diffrent rooms . You talk about bad luck her first assigned counciler quit in may 2 days before her appointment. Then when her next appointment was schedueled her grandmother passed away. It was especially hard because she was raised by her grandmother becuse her mom passed away when she was 9. Then her next appointment was cancelled because the day she was scheduelled the councilor was sick. Me I have got better at not taking things personally even though there are days when I just want to quit. I try to focus on the positive side of things . She still keeps talking about us trying to have another baby soon if she can get by the anxiety issues. I know its not just me because at the funeral when even those she is very close to tryed to hug her she was jumping out of her skin. Oh not only did she have that going on but 2 days before the funeral she had a tooth pulled that broke down to her nasal cavity which kept her in a lot of pain. Another positive glimmer of hope was that she helped write the paper that was read at the funeral and it mentioned the Christmas that I proposed to her under her grandmothers Christmas tree with her family all there. Still its so hard because I really just want to hold her hand or hug her. I hope all is going well for all of the regulars on this site my work schedual is really busy this time of the year which i really a help for my sanity. Please keep praying for me ... for the meantime I will just have to keep "cowboying Up".

im sorry to read this, my best friend has bad anxiety problems. she dropped out of high school because it was such a problem, but now shes got the GED and is now going to college. from experience i know that when my friend has a anxiety attack she doesn't want to be touched but just wants some one there. i don't know what your wifes problems are like but i hope that you two get through them. I lost my mom at 15 so i know the scar that it left on your wife. Im glad to hear that your suporting her, this can be a very tough time, and very confussing. my best wishes to you, and hopes of the future.

Thanks for sharing Cowboy...sounds like you've been through a tough time.
Remember to take care of yourself and do something nice for yourself today.
Things will get better, Im sure...hang in there!

Hey there, this is Kitt and it is good to hear from You.  I am glad to see you are standing by your wife and that you can see how she reacts in the real world, not just with you. 

I have to say it makes me feel angry that she is still waiting for a therapist..............unexceptable but I know how the long waits can be.  I am so relieved to read she has an appointment next week.

As for you please do keep taking care of yourself and know that things will get better.

Do keep on talking with us whenever you are up to it.  We are here for you.

thx for sharing cowboy. life is an up n down process, without including depression/anxiety. sorry for the loss of your lady's grandma. hopefully the wheel of lifes circle turns in the positive soon, as it will. i admire the courage of both of you. with loving compassion. jamie. i hope you post again when you can. jamie
