Zoloft Weight Loss

I've been on Zoloft for a couple of months and have lost 25lbs. Has anyone experienced this rapid rate of weight loss? I'm curious as to what others have done to stop the weight loss.

Jeff,

The majority of the info claims Zoloft causes weight gain.  That is a lot of weight.  You may need a medication change.

Oh boy- im an Aussie so i had to try and convert my weight to pounds- I gained around 60 pounds on Zoloft. I did that within 3 months of being on it. I went from being a tall, skinny girl to now being a tall, overweight person. it affects everyone diferently but most people i know who are on it have all gained weight.

Maybe your doc can give you a better idea? id love to drop 25 pounds. ok id love to lose double that! also- nervous anxiety burns calories really fast. if im in a state of prolonged, high anxiety, i lose weight rapidly. But as fat as Zoloft has made me, its also done the best job of all the antidepressants ive been on. Catch 22.

hi jeffcv. jamie here. zoloft was my first anti-dep i was on. a long long time ago. it was not for me, reasons, plenty!! although had similar up's n downs with ad's and anti-psychotics, in particular, zyprexa, packed it on, mirtazapine however i went the other way and lost my appetite. welcome, and i look forward to sharing with you. all the best, see your doc soon. jamie, male, 37.

Zyprexa is notorious for weight gain. Zoloft never effected me that much...
