Dear Kitt, Karen, Maz, Your replies have been so uplifting for me. You all really are my family and I love you all dearly. Your prayers and support are helping me to get through this time. I am trying to stay positive and take things one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time but the time is passing. Like I posted before I am really being a good girl and following all drs orders. I have to say that I truly don't like white bread!! That is the only kind of bread I can have for a sandwich and it is so bland and tastless. But at least I can have a turkey sandwich. Also, I can have jello, broth, eggs, whit pasta and rice, cream of chicken soup. I see my internist on Thurs and will show her my diet from the hospital and see if I can add any thing else that isn't so tastless and boring. Am drinking a lot of tea and water. Would love to have a gingerale but will see. I would give anything for a salad but its off the list. Kitt, I would love to teach you needlepoint. It is so mind absorbing and fun to admire the work. Wish we were all close so we could have a big party. I am going to juggle the date of surgery between my birthday and Christmas. I probably will have it done before Thangsgiving but that will certainly keep my diet at a minimum but I think I can have turkey and mashed potatoes. Well, I guess I won't be making my pecan pie anymore. It was really good and so easy to make. I can't have stawberries or any type of berries, nothing with seeds or any kind of seeds, no nuts or popcorn or raw veggies. You don't know how much you miss veggies if you can't eat them! I'll keep updating as things progress and hope all will keep posting. I love hearing from everyone.
Many, many hugs,
Aurora
