Thankyou so much. Im used to hospitals and being ill, but last week was horrendous.  Excruciating hours of pain. It got so bad in Emergency that I blacked out.

I have stones in my bile duct (biliary colic), liver inflammation and pancreatitis. Im still in a world of pain and am weak and exhausted but Im putting one foot infront of the other. I will try and be here as much as possible- im currently desperate for rest and the meds are knocking me around. Will be having surgery in the next 4-6 weeks. Also am waist deep in high school english essays that need marking asap-

I am sorry for all the surgery and stuff. I hope that you feel better when this is over. You are too young to have to deal with all these issues. But I guess our health can go at any time and we have to deal with that. Know that we are all thinking of you and praying for you to recover soon.

Had scans and scope yesterday and got some fairly unpleasant news, but I will be ok and its under control, surgery to follow but not for a few weeks. Thinking of you all and trying to post where and when I can, but am drained, raw, sore, tired.

Maz, I don't know you as I'm relatively new here. I can tell you that I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. With the fibro, I have so much pain that I rarely notice any new pain (that's not a good thing). But one day I hurt so badly a tad right of my ribcage and I thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the emergency room and after they drew blood they kept coming in and asking me how much I drink. It would have been laughable if I hadn't been hurting so much. At the most I have a beer or two during the summer and a glass of champagne at New Years, and that's on a heavy drinking year for me.

It turned out that my gallbladder was rotten and full of stones. One of the stones was stuck in the duct that empties the pancreas and that was what was causing the pain and my enzymes to be so high. The stones can also migrate to your liver. I was fortunate enough to get by with the type of surgery where they only have to make a few cuts after the stone moved out of the duct to my pancreas and it settled down. You will feel so much better once they get all that junk cleared out of there. I hurt less from the post operative pain than I did before I had the surgery. I'll say a prayer for you and wish you luck.
