Hi everyone~
I was out of town for the last week and I am glad to be back home. It was my first trip to Texas and it was ok. My depression was really bad but I was able to fight it by being around horses. Besides that, I couldn't wait to get home. I have some pics of my horseback riding experiences. It had been a million years (more like 10) since I had rode and it was like riding a bike. I GUESS YOU NEVER FORGET HOW TO DO THINGS THAT YOU LOVE. I helped feed and brush and really enjoyed her horses. We looked for fossils and scorpions. Yes, scorpions. She said that we did 't find any because it was too late in the season. It was fun hanging out with someone that enjoyed what I did. She experiences depression and can relate to how I feel. I did gain a great friend in Kathy.

Other than that, dreading December for a number of reasons. I guess I will have a difficult time with the holidays and may not even put a tree up because my son might be going with his dad out of town for the holidays. I would be better without the lights and music, though I will miss him I know he will be having a great time.

Hi Teresa,

It is so good to hear from you.  Do you have a computer now?  It sounds like you had a really good time with the horses.  I love horses, use to have some.  They are a lot of work though.  But I, like you, enjoy it.  They are so cool!!!

Please try not to anticipate the worst for the holidays, you never know, they might turn out good for some reason or another.  Maybe you could decorate a little.  I am thinking about getting a rosemary Christmas tree.  I got one once before, I love rosemary for cooking.  And it just smells so good.

I am so glad that you posted and so happy that you had such a nice time.  Keep in touch with us.  We have missed you too.

ps, animals rock. i am a horse fan myself, when i can i give to a local charity known as 'riding for the disabled' the horses and rider receive beautiful blessings from each other. cheers, jamie tongue

It is really hard to not be depressed this year.  I havemy triggers and I am doing the best I can to deal.  I have decided this year to leave my Christmas stuff in the basement and get a small tree for my son.  I just dont have it in  me this year.

 

I see my doc on the 15th so we will see what he says.

I still dont have a computer so it is really hard to stay in touch.  Really depressed this weekend, seeing things bring back memories.  Lots of tears.

Teresa,

You know that the holidays are hard for you. Is there anything that you can do to combat this? Maybe play some upbeat music, take a nice soothing bath, light some candles. Burn some nice insence. Try meditation. That helps me so much.

I hope that you feel better, and glad that you posted. We miss you too.
