Hi everyone,
Well, I have begun the journey to find out what is wrong with my health. I have so many tests scheduled and already done that it seems as if I see a doctor almost everyday.
Yesterday I went to see the hematology/oncology doctor that I was referred to by my primary doctor. He went over my paperwork and examined me. In a nutshell, he is interested in my WBC and a surgery I had in 1998 in which I had a "benign" mass removed. He us concerned that maybe I have dormant "non-malignant" cells that are causing my white count to flucuate. His comment was "I am hoping that this is not the tip of the iceberg" of the cells that were "ignored" after that surgery. Seeing that I am scheduled for a vascular CT scan next week, he has decided to watch the WBC every week for 6 weeks. Every Thursday I have to drive to the hospital/office to have my blood taken. We talked about all the bruising I have and He is more concerned right now with the WBC and vasculature problems.
I do have faith in these new doctors and hope that I can finally have answers to my serious issues that I have been concerned with all along. Noone in my family knows about what is going on, so it is kinda hard doing it alone. Although Iknow I will be fine, I have done this by myself for awhile.
