brother suffering psychosis

hi all,

just got a ph message from mum, received sun, that my brother has had a melt-down at work and is very dellusional and suspicious, to the point that mum said on the message to not call she will call me. he is being treated for psychosis with seroquel. message was hard to hear, mum was very quiet, so he would not hear. i think it may be further complicated due to other means. will advise. am worried. jamie.

I am so sorry to hear about your brother suffering so. Try to be there for him as I am sure that you will. But he has to work through this. I am sure that everything will turn out okay. Know that we are all thinking of you.

thx, am perplexed though. this has been going on for a bit, mum has deliberately kept me out of the loop. and she did not call back. i can only keep him in my thoughts, i can not control what my mother is doing or does. she said in the message that he needs a month to get well, i hope he gets into therapy, for he has needed this for awhile. i feel i am not apart of the family anymore.

I am sure that you are still a part of the family. They probably just didn't want to worry you. You have your own issues and they didn't want to give you any added stress. That is what I am thinking though.

Know that you are within a family here. We have become close and are always there for eachother.

Hey Jamie,

I bet that you will be glad when all the dental work is over. I have yet to start. I keep putting it off and that is stupid I know, but I am a big chicken.

I hope that you know that we all care deeply about you and that we are here to support you through everything. You are a valued member here. Your presence means a lot to all of us.

thx karen, i am sure you will get yours done sooner or later! dentures almost done. remaining 6 teeth to be extracted in 2 weeks, along with final fitting. it is getting closer! feeling a tad deflated-i thought mum would have sought me out for some advice for my brother. oh well. jamie. more painting i suppose. thx 4 your care, jamie.

When you get a chance, why don't you ask her. Wait until things have settled down a bit. She may not have been thinking right from stress. Or she may just not wanted you to worry about it, of figured she had it under control. Don't feel bad. Just know now that you know and go from there. I am sure that she had a good reason.

Yeah for your dental work. Not much longer now. I will get there, I will have to. I just keep putting it off. Some teeth are breaking. Wierd. I think I grind them in my sleep. Not sure. I should get one of those things for that. Oh well, one day I will. But you keep going. You will be so happy when it is over.

thx karen. sounds like for you it should be much sooner than later. i was freaking at my first visit. well the first few.  you are not chicken. i will wait to see what mum says, i think you are correct with mum knowing that i have a lot going on. thx 4 highlighting this. with compassion, jamie. maybe get that cracked one pulled, you will feel much better for it. all the best, jamie. thx 4 your kind words also.

the painting is starting to drive me nuts. getting jack of it real quick. bob has been around, no mention of assistance. i am tired, not just tired but jack of it tired. apologies for my dark demeanor.

Hang on Jamie, you will get there. Have you thought about asking Bob to pick up a roller or a paint brush??? Sometimes you have to ask. Some people don't offer to help like they should. I hope that you get done soon. I am sure it will look great.

cheers, and thx. i asked quite awhile ago. maybe it is not his thing!! certainly not mine. waiting to hear from mum also. i got down and took the phone of the hook yesterday. it is back on, will await for the call. got very depresed and dejected-okay now. just do not like being kept out of the loop. jamie.

I know how you feel Jamie, I am the same way. I think we all are. Especially when it comes to somebody that we care about.

I am good. I had a few tough days just recently, but today was much better. It wasn't so hot either. So I think that the weather plays a big part in how I feel. Plus my age and hormones. But like I said, today was nice. I walked the dogs and walked in the woods for a while.

Puppy is doing great. getting big. But still has biting issues. She likes to bite my feet and legs when I am walking. Have to stop that. I am working on it. She is still quite young. Only 15 weeks. But has strong jaws and sharp teeth. lol...

Hope that you are feeling better. Glad that you posted. Jasmine is barking, I think she scares herself. But I think she is going to have a very deep voice when she gets bigger. lol... She wants out now because my other dog is out. Little stinker. Still biting, trying to break that. She is easy to train with cookies. lol...
