Hi everyone~

Over the weekend I got the opportunity to get out a little to make me feel happier.  Bittersweet is how I would explain what I experienced.  I passed several momentous landmarks from my past.  I can not believe how many great places and happy times that I took for granted.  There was one that really touched me and that was a place where one of last days that I had with this person was shared there.  Of course while passing it I passed a place along the side of the road where we had come upon a man who was trying to earn money to feed his family and that was one of the most sentimental times of my life.

Then I noticed the place on the left called "The Chop House" it was abandoned and for sale and it looked so sad with all the weeds growing up around it.  As with everything else, my memories are all I have.

 

I am still in the process of obtaining my Zyrem for my depression, keep your prayers coming!!

Hey Teresa,

Yes the memories are bitter sweet.  But they are good memories, so hang on to them.  Know that life goes on and you will make new memories each day.

thx 4 the lovely relections. i have a similiar experience when i pass my ladies place on the train. (georgia) even though she is up there i still have beautiful memories, but passing her station is hard. i hope you get those meds real soon. know that i am always here for you. net has been down for a long time, apologies. sending healing luv your way. jamie.

I was on antdepressants for years but not anymore......I flat refuse to let depression grab me again.....

I am glad that you are so strong Snowylynne. Not all of us are. I am glad things are working out for you. Keep up the good work.

Like my friends have posted not all of us are able to overcome depression without meds or more invasive treatments.  As for me, if you read any of my posts, you can understand what I mean.

 

For me, my depression is biological and chemically related.  I am actually titled as "treatment resistant". 

 

I am happy that you can be healthy without long term treatment :)

Thanks everyone. I saw my neurologist and hematologist today. My blood work looks somewhat better and I will not have to have anymore blood draws for another month.  My neurologist says that my blood pressure is too high but she is more interested in how the zyrem is working and how my sleep has been.  She told me that I am a very couragous girl and that my approach to handling my medical issues have been constant with faith in my meds (zyrem) and that we are going to get these things handled.  I still feel alone and wish I had someone to count on to really care about me.  My friend is still here and I am trying to be strong for us both.  I am really trying and scared at the same time with this new drug.  It is also a test of trust with the zyrem, even a ml of this drug could cause an overdose.  She is unaware of my attempts so I am practicing faith on my own level.  She also decided to turn on my VNS to see if there is any positive changes in my cognitive problems.

I am trying to find those better dayz!!!!!!

Hi Teresa,

You are being really brave right now.  And you are doing a good job.  I am glad that you have your friend there with you.  She has been there quite a while.  You two must get along good.  I am glad. 

Please do be careful with your meds.  I think that you should be honest with your doctor, in my opinion, if this is such a dangerous drug.  Please take it as prescribed.  I know you will, but I am just mentioning it.  I do worry about things of this nature. 

Please do know that we all have been thinking of you.  I am so glad that you posted.  The doctor does sound like she understands and really wants to help you.  That is always a plus.  I see a new doctor tomorrow, and I don't know if he will continue my pain management.  I hope so.  I don't like trying to find a new doctor.

Computer problems again.  Still taking the med at night.  Right now, I am not sure if it is starting to work and the nurse said that usually it takes a week or two.  The bad things are that I cant have anything to eat 2 hours before taking the first dose and nothing during the night because of the absorption rate.  I guess I will be getting into those shorts again:)(.  If I could get the bruising to stop that would be great too!

Not sure how I am feeling, I am depressed and trying to get out and do stuff, it is just so hard because I am usually exhausted the rest of the day.

I will have a quiet weekend my son goes with his dad and my gf may stay at a friends house.  Kinda depressing but quiet.

Hi Teresa,

Take the weekend and do some things that you enjoy.  Do some pampering for yourself.  Take a nice bath and maybe light some candles, listen to your favorite music.  Take advantage of the solitude. 

I hope that your medication works for you.  I know how hard it is to wait for it to start working.  Some of them take four to six weeks to reach the full potential.  So try to be patient with it.

Sometimes I think that there will always be tears and sadness.  I am so stressed lately with this new med but it seems to be helping somewhat.  My weekend was uneventful with the exception of my gf tripping over my computer and knocking it to the ground.  As you can see I did manage to get it working somewhat but it deleted everything I had, pics, songs everything, files you name it, GONE!!

 

I was so upset because this is just one in the many things that are driving me out of sanity.

I am sorry that your computer got knocked down, but glad you still have internet access.  I am also happy that your medication is working some.  I hope that it continues to get better for you.
